중국의 해양정책 언론보도 프레임 분석 = Analysis of China’s Maritime Policy Media Frame

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중국은 지속적으로 해양패권을 강화하며 미국 및 아시아 주변국과 갈등을 빚고 있다. 남중국해와 동중국해에서 영유권 주장을 강화하고 있으며 이를 바탕으로 해양 확장 전략을 강화해 나가고 있다.
본 연구는 최근 중국의 해양 정책 변화를 분석하여 향후 한국의 대응책을 함께 모색하기 위해 연구설계되었다. 중국의 해양 정책에 대한 보다 정확하고 최신의 정보를 확인하기 중국 정부 기관지 해양 관련 자료를 수집하고 분석하는 연구소의 중국어 신문보도 자료를 분석하였다.
그 결과 동‧남중국해 해역을 둘러싼 중국과의 갈등에서 미중 양국의 첨예한 갈등을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 중국의 해양 정책은 자국의 국가이익을 강화하기 위해 지역 간 협력체제 구축보다는 견제와 거리두기를 유지할 가능성이높을 것임을 확인하였다. 이와 더불어 현재 남중국해 위주로 발생하는 해양 갈등은 언제든 동중국해로 번질 가능성이 높음을 확인하였다.

China has been consistently strengthening its maritime power and engaging in conflicts with the United States and neighboring countries in Asia. China is indeed strengthening its territorial claims in the South China Sea and the East China Sea, using them as a basis to enhance its maritime expansion strategy.
This research is designed to analyze recent changes in China’s maritime policy and explore potential response strategies for South Korea. To obtain more accurate and up-to-date information on China’s maritime policy, this study analyzed relevant materials from a research institute that collects and analyzes Chinese-language newspaper articles related to the Chinese government’s maritime affairs.
As a result, it was possible to observe the acute conflict between the United States and China surrounding the waters of the South China Sea and the East China Sea. Furthermore, it was observed that China’s maritime policy is more likely to prioritize inter-state containment rather than the establishment of regional cooperation systems in order to enhance its national interests. In addition, it was confirmed that the current maritime conflicts occurring in the South China Sea have a high likelihood of spreading to the East China Sea at any time.
