신라고분 출토 청동용기 연구 = Bronze Vessels Excavated from Ancient Tombs of Silla Dynasty

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고에서는 신라 내에서 일정한 변화와 발전을 보이는 신라고분 출토 청동용기의 변화 ․발전 양상을 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해 신라고분 출토 청동용기 중에서도 시기에 따른 변화상이 비교적 뚜렷하게 나타나는 정(鼎), 초호(鐎壺), 초두(鐎斗), 울두(熨斗), 합(盒)을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 먼저. 각 기종별 형식분류를 바탕으로 청동용기의 유구별 공반양상을 살펴 단계를 설정하고 이를 기존의 신라고분 편년안과 비교하여 보았다. 그 결과, 신라고분 출토 청동용기의 전개양상을 크게 2 단계로 구분 할 수 있었다. Ⅰ단계는 신라고분에서 처음 청동용기가 등장하는 시기로 황남대총 남분에서 시작된 청동용기 부장 양상이 황남대총 북분, 금관총 등의 주로 5세기 대의 고분에서 이어지며 6세기에도 일부 지속된다. Ⅱ단계는 청동용기의 형식과 부장양상에서 앞서 살펴본 Ⅰ단계와는 구분되는 변화를 보인다. 즉, Ⅰ 단계와는 다른 형식의 청동용기들이 Ⅱ단계에 들어서면서 나타나는 것이다. 마지막으로 이입과 생산에 관한 문제를 다루었다. 이를 상세하게 살펴보기 위해서 이입과 생산에 대한 몇 가지 가설을 설정하여 모식도로 나타내고 이를 신라고분 출토품에 대입하여 살펴보았다. 그결과, 크게 4가지 경우로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 이입품이다. 외부(원산지)에서 동일한 형식이 확인되는 경우와 동일한 형식이 직접적으로 확인되지는 않지만 속성 ․일괄관계 ․명문 등의 분석을 통하여 외부(원산지)에서 이입된 것으로 추정할 수 있는 경우가 있다. 둘째, 전세를 거친 이입품이다. 외부(원산지)의 청동용기가 1세기 정도의 전세를 거친 후 신라고분에 부장되는 경우이다. 셋째, 모방생산품이다. 외부(원산지)의 영향을 받아서 출토지(신라)에서 모방하여 생산하는 경우이다. 형태는 외부(원산지)와 동일하지만 제작방식이 다른 것과 제작방식은 외부(원산지)와 같지만 형태가 다른 것이 있다. 넷째, 자체생산품이다. 출토지 (신라)에서 자체변화를 거친 후, 출토지(신라)만의 개성을 가지는 청동용기가 생산되는 경우이다. 이입품과 비교하였을 때 형태와 제작방식이 모두 차이를 보인다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to make further examinations into any changes and developmental aspects of bronze vessels excavated from ancient tombs of Silla. In order to achieve the purpose, this study focused on analyzing certain bronze vessels excavated from ancient tombs of Silla (e.g. jeong [鼎], choho [鐎壺], chodu (鐎斗), uldu (熨斗) and hab (盒). On the basis of such analysis, this study examined phased characteristics and temporal changes of bronze vessels excavated from ancient tombs of Silla. As a result, the bronze vessels excavated from ancient tombs of Silla can be broadly divided into two phases: Phase is a period at which bronze vessels began to appear in ancient tombs of Silla for the first time. During Phase , bronze vessels began to appear in Q1, 6th century and were mostly discovered from ancient tombs established in Q2, 6th century. Finally, this study addressed questions about historical introduction and production of bronze vessels in ancient tombs. As a result, it was found that there are the following 4 cases of bronze vessels introduced or produced: First, some bronze vessels were introduced from foreign countries (origins). These vessels can fall broadly into two types. Secondly, some bronze vessels were chartered from foreign countries (origins) for about 100 years before their burial in ancient tombs of Silla. Thirdly, some bronze vessels of ancient tombs in Silla were influenced by and modeled after those made in foreign countries (origins). Fourthly, some bronze vessels were produced with original characteristics of excavation site (Silla) after they were independently changed there. This case of vessels is different in form, detailed properties and making method from those introduced from foreign origins.
