부모의 자율성지지가 청소년의 그릿과 학업열의에 미치는 영향: 잠재성장모형을 활용한 종단매개효과 검증 = The Effects of Parental Autonomy Support on Adolescents’Grit and Academic Engagement: Verification of Longitudinal Mediating Effects Using A Latent Growth Model

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년이 지각하는 부모의 자율성지지, 그릿, 학업열의의 종단적 관계와 그릿의 종단적 매개효과를 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에서 제공하는 한국 아동·청소년패널조사 2018의 중1패널 1차년도(중1)부터 4차년도(고1)까지 4년 동안의 데이터에 잠재성장모형 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 부모의 자율성지지와 청소년의 그릿, 학업열의는 학년이 올라감에 따라 감소하였다. 둘째, 부모의 자율성지지 초기치와 변화율은 그릿과 학업열의 초기치와 변화율에 유의한 정적 영향을, 그릿 초기치와 변화율은 학업열의 초기치와 변화율에 유의한 정적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 청소년이 지각한 부모의 자율성지지가 그릿을 매개로 학업열의에 간접적으로 정적인 효과를 보였다. 또한 중1에서 고1 기간 동안 부모의 자율성지지 변화율이 그릿 변화율을 매개로 학업열의에 종단적 매개효과가 확인이 되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 시사점을 논의하고 후속연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the longitudinal mediating effect of grit in the influence of parental autonomy support perceived by adolescents on academic engagement. To this end, the four-year longitudinal data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 were examined through the analysis of the latent growth model to examine the structure of variables over time. As a result of the analysis, first, parents' autonomy support, adolescents' grit, and academic engagement decreased as the grades increased. Second, the initial value and rate of change of parents' autonomy support in the first year of middle school had a significant positive effect on the initial value and rate of change of grit and academic engagement, and the initial value and rate of change of grit had a significant positive effect on the initial value and rate of change of academic engagement. Third, parents' autonomy support had an indirect positive effect on academic engagement through grit in the first year of middle school. Lastly, based on the results of this study, implications were discussed and suggestions were made for future research.
