석사과정 파견교사들의 파견제도 인식에 대한 단일 사례 연구 - 한국교원대학교대학원 초등과학교육전공 석사과정을 중심으로- = A single case study on awareness of dispatch system of Masters course in dispatch teachers Focusing on Master`s Program in elementary science major of Korea National University of Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국교원대학교 초등과학전공 파견교사들의 경험 속에서 그동안 드러나지 않았던 파견교사들의 이야기와 그들의 경험이 가지고 있는 교육학적 의미 및 논의점을 알아보고 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 초등과학 파견 5명을 목적표집하여 연구대상자로 선정하였고, 심층 면담방법을 통한 참여자의 경험 속에서 의미를 찾기 위해 인터뷰자료를 전사하고 줄 단위로 분석을 바탕으로 한 지속적인 비교 및 분석과정을 거쳤다. 연구결과, 초등과학전공 파견교사들은 바쁜 학교생활의 탈출구로서의 파견생활을 인식하고 있었으나, 거기에서 멈추지 않고 배움에 대한 열망을 보였으며 초등과학교과 전문가로서 다양한 능력을 키우고 싶은 바램을 가지고 있었다. 이를 위해 본교에서는 초등과학전공으로서의 특수성 및 교육 수요자의 요구를 반영하여 좀 더 질적으로 향상된 교육과정 운영이 필요하다. 파견교사 제도는 많은 연수 프로그램 중 가장 긴 형태의 연수이며, 교사 개인 및 교육적 측면에서 상당한 의미를 갖는다. 그러므로 실제 수요자의 요구를 반영한 교육과정이 끊임없이 연구되고 운영되어야 한다. 또한 초등과 학교육 전공으로 파견제도는 단순히 과학분야에 대한 자신감에 그치지 않고 앞으로 현장에서 겪는 어떤 일이든 잘 할 수 있다는 자신감을 가지게 해주는 의미 있는 경험임을 알게 되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 현장에서 파견제도 자체를 모르는 교사들도 상당수 있다는 인터뷰 내용으로 볼 때, 좀 더 다양한 방법으로 파견제도를 알려 더 많은 교사들이 파견제도에 관심을 갖고, 참여할 수 있도록 지원하는 제도적 노력이 필요하다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 교사의 질향상과 파견제도에 대한 정책적 측면의 시사점은 다음과 같다. 많은 행정적 예산을 투입하여 만들어진 `개인의 교육 전문가`의 경험이 파견 종료 후, 더 많은 교사와 공유될 수 있는 다양한 방법을 고민할 필요가 있다. 이를 통해 파견연수라는 국가적 사업이 한 개인의 경험에서 끝나지 않고, 궁극적으로 전체적인 교육의 질 향상과 연결 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study describes teachers` reflections, ideas and concerns from the professional development experience at a university teacher professional development program. For this purpose, five elementary science dispatches were invited. An in-depth interview was conducted, and the data were analyzed through a constant comparison method. Our findings indicate that the elementary science majors` dispatch teachers appreciate their intensive graduate program and want to develop various abilities as elementary science subject experts. To do this, teachers suggest that the university needs to improve the quality of the curriculum to reflect the special needs of elementary science majors and the needs of educators. In addition, there should be a systematic effort to advertise this program intensively because many teachers did not even know the existence of this program. The dispatched teacher system is the longest type of training program among many other training programs, and has a significant impact in terms of individual and educational teachers. Therefore, the curriculum satisfying the needs of the teachers should be further studied. In addition, the elementary dispatches said they came to believe that they would overcome any challenge from their schools with the confidence gained from their experience in this training program. Based on the results of this study, the implications of the policy aspects of teacher quality improvement and dispatching system are as follows. Teachers other than the dispatches can be benefit if there are professional development program that the dispatches can share their knowledge and skills gained from this program with others. In doing so, the national project of dispatching training not only becomes an invaluable personal experience, but becomes a pipe line that improves the quality of national education.
