장애영유아를 위한 조기개입: 이론과 실천 = The theoretical models of early intervention for young children with developmental delay

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 들어 발달장애에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가함에 따라 발달장애 영유아에 대한 조기개입에 대한 필요성이 지속적으로 강조되고 있다. 이에 따라 장애영유아와 그 가족을 대상으로 서비스를 제공하고 있는 사회복지사들은 효과적인 조기개입을 위하여 다양한 프로그램의 개발하고 실천하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 프로그램들에 바탕이 되고 있는 이론들과 실천모델들을 살펴보고자 하였다. 사회복지사가 진행하는 대표적인 조기개입프로그램 모델인 부모 중재 프로그램과 지지기반 프로그램은 각각 발달모델과 가족중심모델을 바탕으로 개발되었다. 이 모델들의 바탕 이론은 Piaget의 인지발달이론과 Bronfenbrenner의 생태학 이론을 기반으로 하고 있다. 프로그램들의 기저에 있는 이론의 탐색과 함께 효과적인 프로그램 개발을 위하여 다양한 이론들의 혼합가능성을 논의해보고 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

The importance of early intervention for children with developmental delay begins to be emphasized in the field of social work recently. Thus, the purpose of this study is to understand the theories and practical models underlying contemporary practice. With this purpose, the basic and classic child development theories were investigated: Piaget``s cognitive developmental and Bronfenbrenner``s ecological theory. These theories guide two different intervention models: developmental model and family-centered model. These intervention models give the practical guidance of parent-mediated intervention and social support intervention. Although each theory sufficiently leads to practice, a single theory cannot cover every factor related to the early intervention programs. With this reason, the theories, which might seem indissoluble and irreconcilable with each other in the theoretical level, are blended and mixed in the practice level. An integrated model is suggested and the application of this model is introduced.
