한국 근대 민간사회복지 연구 동향과 과제 : 관련 저서를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 사회복지역사 개설서와 한국 근대(1876-1945) 사회복지에 관한 심화된 연구서의 내용 분석 을 통해 한국 근대 민간복지의 연구동향을 분석한 연구이다. 먼저, 한국 근대 사회복지에 대한 내용이 수록된 21종의 사회복지역사 개설서를 분석한 결과, 대부분 서구 중심의 선진국 사회복지 변화의 한 부분으로 한국의 사회복지 변천을 살펴보고 있어 한국 복지의 변천을 집중적으로 살펴보는 것에는 한계가 있었다. 본 연구 대상인 근대 민간복지 부분에 대한 서술은 한국 최초의 사회복지역사서라고 할 수 있는 구자헌의 한국사회복지사 이후 최근 출간된 사회복지역 사 개설서까지 서술 내용은 크게 발전되었다고 볼 수 없다. 또한 각 저서에 소개된 민간복지 기관의 기 본정보가 잘못 서술된 것이 종종 눈에 띈다. 한국 사회복지역사 연구가 집적되고 있는 현 시점에서 내 용 보완 및 수정에 대해 앞으로 전면적인 고민이 필요하다. 다음으로 한국 근대 사회복지에 관해 이전 사회복지역사 개설서와 차별되는 심화된 내용이 수록되어 있 는 홍금자, 안상훈 외, 박정란, 오토모, 이방현 외의 저서 5개를 분석했다. 5종의 저서를 통해 한국 근 대 민간복지에 대한 시대구분 및 개관, 각 시기에 존재하였던 주체, 대상, 민간복지 기관에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 있었고, 주요 기관에 대해서는 구체적인 활동의 내용과 그 평가를 읽을 수 있었다. 그러나 각 저자마다 활용 사료의 범주가 상이하고, 관점의 차이로 서술의 내용과 평가에도 차이가 나타난다. 앞으 로 한국 근대 민간복지의 주체별, 분야별, 지역별 연구가 다양한 각도에서 이루어져 연구자들 간에 존재 하는 차이의 간극을 메꾸어 나가고, 한국사회복지역사의 비어 있는 내용들이 채워지기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is an analysis of the research trends of modern Korean private welfare through the analysis of the contents of the opening of the social welfare history and the in-depth research on modern social welfare in Korea(1876-1945). First of all, the analysis of 21 types of social welfare history books containing information on social welfare in modern Korea showed that there was a limit to focusing on the transformation of Korean welfare as it was part of the social welfare changes in advanced countries centered on the West. The description of the modern private welfare section, which is the subject of this study, cannot be considered to have been greatly improved since Koo Ja-heon's "Korean Social Welfare History," the first Korean social welfare history book. It is also often noticeable that the basic information of private welfare institutions introduced in each book is misrepresented. In a situation that research on Korean social welfare history is being concentrated, it is necessary to consider supplementing and revising the contents. Next, five books on modern social welfare in Korea written by Hong Keum-ja, Ahn Sang-hoon, Park Jeong-ran, Otomo, and Lee Bang-hyun which are different from previous social welfare history books were analyzed. The five books provided information on the classification and opening of modern Korean private welfare, subjects, and private welfare institutions that existed during each period, and detailed activities and evaluations of major institutions were read. However, differences in the content of the description and evaluation are seen due to differences in each author's perspective and each author using a different category of utilization feed. Through future research, it is believed that evaluation of modern Korean private welfare by subject, sector, and region should be conducted from various point of view.
