특별논문(特別論文) : 진양(陳暘) 『악서(樂書)』 예악론(禮樂論)의 역리적(易理的) 연구(硏究) = Special Edition : A Study on the Yin-Yang theory of Rites and Music in Chen Yang`s Yue Shu

국문 초록 (Abstract)

陳暘은 『樂書』에서 공자, 맹자, 순경 양웅을 비롯하여 많은 학자의 언급 『論語』, 『孟子』, 『中庸』, 『周易』 등과 같은 유가의 경전을 통한 이해 뿐만 아니라 『列子』, 『老子』, 『莊子』 등 도가경전에서 여러 문구를 적용해 이해하는 모습을 보인다. 이런 점은 진양이 『禮記』 「樂記」(이하 「樂記」로 함)의 내용을 단순히 유가적 차원에서만 해석하는 것이 아님을 보여주는 것인데, 이런 이해 중에서 우리가 주목할 것은 「악기」의 대부분의 문구를 음양론 혹은 역리적 차원에서 해석하고 있다는 점이다. 즉 진양은 「악기」를 이해함에 있어 ``以易言之``, ``以易求之`` 등의 표현과 함께 ``與易A同意``, ``在易...`` ``易言...同意`` 등과 같은 표현을 통해 이해한다. 악기에 대한 이해에서 주역의 諸卦를 적용하여 풀이하되, 특히 陰陽論을 적용하여 관련지어 풀이하는 경우가 많다. 때로는 하도와 낙서를 적용하여 이해하기도 한다. 본고는 일단 진양이 예악에 대한 음양론적 이해 및 河圖·洛書와 관련된 언급을 보되 『주역』의 諸卦를 응용하여 이해한 것 가운데 건괘와 곤괘를 적용하여 풀이한 것을 논한다. 진양이 예와 악을 건괘와 곤괘를 적용하여 이해하는 것은 「악기」에 이미 천지와 건곤 혹은 건곤의 易簡之理, 그리고 음양의 상관관계를 통해 이해할 수 있는 것이 태생적으로 간직되어 있기 때문이다. 예를 들면 ``樂著太始, 禮居成物``, ``樂由天作, 禮以地制``, ``樂者, 天地之和, 禮者, 天地之序`` 등과 관련된 예악의 발생론적 측면 혹은 그것이 가지고 있는 공능성을 말하고 있는 것이 그것이다. 진양은 禮를 陰으로, 樂을 陽으로 보되, 그것들의 발생론적 측면으로는 ``樂由陽來``와 ``禮由陰作``이란 틀을 견지하면서 예악이 갖는 형이상학적 의미를 밝힌다. 특히 음양 對待의 交易적 측면과 음양 流行의 變易적 측면을 적용하여 풀이하고 있다. 아울러 하도낙수 혹은 선천후천적 측면 및 건괘와 곤괘를 적용하여 풀이하고 있다. 진양의 이런 이해를 통해 예와 악에 대한 보다 심층적인 이해를 가능하게 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A native of Minqing County in Fujian Province, Chen Yang was a jinshi (a palace graduate) in China`s North Song Dynasty, who later served in the Ministry of Rites. His Yue Shu, a scholarly work with a huge mass of valuable information on Song- and pre-Song-Dynasty music, is of great historical and cultural significance. Generally regarded as the earliest encyclopedic volumes of musicology in Chinese history, and perhaps even in world history, Yue Shu has been an important and indispensable work of reference in the study of Chinese music. The 200-volume masterpiece, noted for its early date of publication and wide coverageanging over a period between the Han-Tang Dynasties and the Ming-Qing Dynasties, is a rare collection in the treasure of Chinese musicology. This master of Chinese musicology and the academic value, historical status and cultural significance of his Yue Shu, thus merit ampler attention. A survey of existing scholarship shows that since the 20th century most of the studies of Chen Yang and his Yue Shu, have been conducted from historical in the context of cultural and historical development. Based on genealogical information and historical accounts obtained from field work and drawing on relevant scholarship such as A History of the Song Dynasty, this study attempts to examining Confucian art view and aesthetic consciousness through understanding of Li-Yueh Thought, verifying the ontological basis of Li-Yueh, and then Li-Yueh made on the model Tien-ti and the effect of its realization. The Book of Changes is one of the most important Confucian classics. The Text of the Book of Changes is made up of 64 hexagrams and two explanatory texts under each hexagram. Yin and Yang is two important opposite concepts in Chinese philosophy and all things in the universe are products of the interactions of the two forces. The ancient Chinese music Dao，based on the basic domains of the ancient Chinese philosophy, namely Dao. Such as theme are effected Li-Yueh and Chen Yang`s Yue Shu.
