This research aims at providing means to enhance the reliability of fire safety systems while reducing the cost for construction and maintenance of apartment buildings : The results are as follows
1) Pre-action type sprinkler system should be replaced by wet pipe system. Expectable detect ration of the of the pre-action type sprinkler system is more than 90%, whereas that of the wet pipe system is ignorable.
2) The smoke control system should be upgraded by 300-400% from the present capacity to guarantee the smoke proof environment of the emergency excess.
3) It is recommended to reduced the risers for the sprinkler and the hydrant system should be combined to reduced the construction and maintenance cost.
4) The compartmentation performance of the balcony area should be improved by metaling spandrals or sprinkler
