초등학교 5학년 단원 마무리의 과학 글쓰기 개발 및 교육적 효과 분석 = An Analysis of Educational Effect and Development of Science writing through Consolidation Activities in 5th Grade Students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 단원 마무리에 제시된 과학 글쓰기를 분석하여 문제점을 파악하고 의사소통을 활성화 할 수 있는 과학 글쓰기를 개발 적용하여 효과적인 과학 글쓰기의 나아 갈 방향을 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 선행연구 고찰을 통해 글쓰기의 교육적 효과를 알아보고 글쓰기와 과학 글쓰기를 비교하여 과학 글쓰기의 의미를 정의하였고 과학 학습에서 과학 글쓰기는 학생들의 문제해결력, 사고력, 논리력을 기를 수 있을 뿐 아니라 탐구 기능을 향상시켜 주고 오개념을 수정하며 학습을 더욱 정교화 할 수 있게 됨을 알게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 학습 목표를 중심으로 현재 과학 교과서의 과학 글쓰기 내용을 분석하였고 과학교육 전문가 1인과 현직교사 1인이 세미나를 통해 지속적으로 논의하여 글쓰기 주제와 내용을 보완하여 새로운 과학 글쓰기를 개발하였다. 수원 지역 초등학교 5학년 5개 반을 선정하여 개발된 글쓰기를 투입하고, 글쓰기 결과 분석과 면담을 통하여 과학 글쓰기의 반응과 효과를 분석하였다. 첫째, 2007 개정 교육과정 5학년 1학기 과학 교과서에 나타난 과학 글쓰기는 단원에서 배운 내용을 바탕으로 글쓰기를 하도록 단원 마무에 제시되어 있다. 그러나 글쓰기 주제는 호기심과 흥미 중심의 태도 영역과 관련되어 있어 과학 개념을 바탕으로 한 글쓰기보다는 감정이나 느낌, 일상생활에 초점이 맞추어져 있다. 따라서 글쓰기 결과를 통해 학생들의 학습 정도를 파악하기 어렵고 일반적인 글쓰기 능력이 더 중요한 글쓰기가 될 수 있는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 둘째, 과학 교과서의 과학 글쓰기에 나타 난 문제점을 개선하기 위해 과학 개념을 바탕으로 활용될 수 있는 글쓰기를 개발하였다. 학생과 교사간의 의사 소통을 활성화 할 수 있고, 단원에서 배운 개념에 대해 바르게 이해하고 있는지 알아볼 수 있는 비교·분석하는 활동으로 개발하여 제시하였다. 셋째, 기존의 과학 글쓰기와 개발된 과학 글쓰기의 결과를 비교 분석한 결과, 통제반의 글쓰기에서는 과학적인 개념을 중심으로 글쓰기를 한 결과가 거의 나타나지 않았으나 실험반의 경우 학생들의 응답으로 학습 목표 달성 정도를 확인할 수 있었으며 창의적 표현과 오개념의 형성 정도, 학습 내용의 문제점 등을 파악할 수 있어 교육적 의미를 찾을 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to investigate problems by analysing science writing suggested in consolidation activity and to suggest a future direction of effective science writing by developing and applying science writing that can activate communications. For the purpose of the study, through previous researches consideration, educational effect of writing is investigated and by comparing writing and science writing, meaning of science writing is defined. Also, it was found that science writing can improve students`` problem solving, thinking, reasoning and inquiry skills, and make learning more sophisticated by modifying misconception. In this study, based on learning goal, science writing of current science textbook is analyzed. By selecting 5 classes of 5th grade in Suwon area, the developed writing was applied, and through writing results analysis and discussion, reaction and effect of science writing are analyzed. First, science writing in science textbook of the first semester of 5th grade in 2007 revised curriculum suggests that writing shall be based on the contents learned in the section. However, as writing subject is related to attitude area based on curiosity and interest, rather than writing based on science concept, the focus is on emotions, feelings and daily life. Thus, it is not easy to see the degree of learning of students through writing result and there is a problem that general writing ability would be more important. Second, in order to improve problems of science writing in science textbook, writing that can be utilized based on science concept is developed. This is suggested in a way that communication between students and teachers can be activated, and students will be able to understand concepts learned in the section better and compare and analyze. Third, as a result of comparing and analyzing the results of the existing science writing and the developed science writing, there is no writing based on science concept from the writing of the control group, however from the experimental group, it was found the degree of achievement of learning goal from the answers of the students and as creative expressions, degree of forming misconception and problems of learning contents can be found, there was an educational meaning.
