인문학, 마을 상상하기 - 노원구의 역사문화유적을 통해 시공간 넘나들기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 강좌는 시민과 지역 공동체를 위한 인문학 교육 커리큘럼과 프로그램을 수립함으로써 인문학의 가치를 아카데미 안팎에서 공유하는 것을 목적으로 계획되었다. 이를 통해 공동체적 가치를 상실하고 이해관계로 분절되고 파편화된 시민들의 일상공간에 공공성에 대한 탐구를 도모하며, 시민들에게 자신들이 살아가고 있는 지역에 입각한 인문학(역사) 지식과 정보를 제공함으로써 지역 공동체에 창의적 활력을 불어넣고자 하였다.
본 강좌는 "노원을 통해 시공간을 넘나들다”와 “노원의 역사 현장으로 걸어 들어가다”의 두 개의 강좌로 진행되었으며, 전반부와 후반부로 나뉘어 동일한 강의를 두차례씩 진행했다.
성인반은 노원구 지역에 산재해 있는 문화유적지에 대해 알아보고 각각의 문화유적지와의 연계 속에서 거시적 역사를 다루었으며, 노원에 거주하는 일반 시민이 주요 대상이었는데, 주부를 중심으로 향토해설사 및 다양한 시민들이 참여했다.
어린이반은 노원구 유적지를 직접 답사하고 답사한 내용을 토대로 브로슈어를 만들었다.
이러한 역사적 탐구를 통한 과거에 대한 통찰은 일반 시민들에게 어떻게 현재를 살아갈 것인가 뿐만이 아니라 예견할 수 없는 미래를 어떻게 맞이할 것인가에 대한 실마리를 찾는 데에도 기여했다. 특히 본 강좌는 시민들의 실제 생활공간인 지역의 유적지를 직접‘밟아보고 조사하는=답사와 그 결과를 지역을 넘어 공유할 수 있는 브로슈어를 직접 제작하는 과정을 통하여 자신이 살고 있는 지역에 대한 이해와 애정을 배양했다고 생각한다.
