This study was done to find whether there is not different the proline concentration between infected cattle and noninfected by Fasciola hepatica and also the common antigenic determinant both adult worm and metacercaria of Fasciola spp.
An attempts were made to quantify proline concentration in blood, bile juice, adult worm and metacercaria respectively. It was determined using fluorescence antibody technique whether or not the common antigenic determinant both adult worm and metacercaria is there.
The results in this work were summarized as follows;
1. The concentration of proline in the blood of the infected cattle by Fasciola hepatica was a little higher than that of noninfected one.
2. The proline concentration in the bile juice of the infected cattle by Fasciola hepatica is about eighteenth times as high as that of the noninfected.
3. It was recognized that the common antigenic determinant both metacercaria and adult worm exist in tegument.
