대학 강의평가에 대한 학생․교수 집단 간 인식 분석: K대학 강의평가 사례를 중심으로 = Analysis of Perception Gaps regarding a University Course and Teaching Evaluation between Students and Faculty Groups: Based on a Case Study of a Course and Teaching Evaluations at K University

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 강의평가 결과 신뢰성 및 활용에 대한 구성원 합의를 도출하기 위해 기존 강의평가결과의 차이와 문항 중요도에 대한 집단 간 인식 차를 분석하여 강의평가 개선을 위한 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 소재 K대학 학 생․교수를 대상으로 기존 강의평가 문항별 의견과 강의평가 문제점 및 개선의견에 대한 인식조사를 시행 하였다. 학생과 교수 간의 인식비교를 위해 설문에 응답한 학생 1,124명, 교수 469명의 응답 결과 차이 분석을 위하여 빈도, 백분율, 비모수검정을 시행하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 강의평가 문항별 분석결과, 강의평가의목적(우선순위), 강의평가의 필요성과 활용, 강의평가 문항 간소화의 적절성, 자율문항 추가의 적절성, 핵심역량 강의평가 문항 추가의 적절성에서는 교수와 학생 간의 인식의 차이가 있었으나 서술형 문항 포함의 필요성에서는 교수와 학생간의 인식의 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 강의평가 문제점과 개선의견에서는 학생은 강의평가 결과 반영, 익명성, 평가 문항 등의 문제점과 개선이 필요하다고 제시하였고, 교수는 강의평 가 결과에 대한 점수산정방식의 문제, 응답불신, 평가도구, 평가 결과와 좋은 수업불일치 등의 문제점과 개선이 필요하다는 의견이 제시되었다. 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 강의평가의 이해관계자인 학생․교수 집단 간 인식비교분석 결과는 강의평 가 개선을 위한 시사점을 제공하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to suggest ways to enhance a course and teaching evaluation by analyzing the gaps in existing evaluation results and in perceptions of the importance of evaluation questionnaires among relevant groups to determine the shared views of these groups regarding the credibility and utilization of the evaluation results. To this end, a survey was distributed to students and professors at K University in Seoul asking them to share their opinions regarding the evaluation questionnaires, and to identify problems and ways to improve existing evaluations. Frequencies, percentages, and nonparametric tests were used to analyze the differences in the responses between the 1,124 students and 469 professors who responded to the survey. The results were as follows: First, the analysis of the evaluation questionnaires showed perceptual gaps between students and professors regarding the purpose (priority), necessity, and utilization of the evaluations, as well as the adequacy of the simplified evaluations, the effectiveness of adding voluntary questions, and the effectiveness of adding questions about core competency; meanwhile, the survey results showed no difference in perceptions regarding the necessity of including write-out questionnaires. Second, regarding problems and ways to improve existing evaluations, the students pointed out the need to address issues with evaluation results, anonymity, and evaluation questionnaires while the professors identified problems with calculating evaluation scores, distrust of responses, evaluation tools, and contradictions between evaluation results and actual teaching performance. The results of this comparative analysis of the opinions of students and professors—the evaluation stakeholders—have implications for improving the evaluations.
