The power generation industry requires continuous plant operation without critical system failures to provide electricity to customers on time. A number of plant management methods, including Plant Management System (PMS), have been developed with relatively fast speed. Existing PMS systems are monitored under time-based maintenance schedule. However, to provide reliable electricity and save maintenance costs, needs for reliability-based maintenance and condition-based maintenance are increasing in power generation industry. In this research, we suggest customizing reliability-based maintenance system to increase reliability of power generation equipment and provide its practical example, largely based on W public company. The suggested system includes the optimum application plan of the PMS which is applied to power generation systems in domestic and foreign countries.
