One of the most urgent task for today's organization is to achieve the goal more rationally and efficiently by how to evaluate the will and belief about the work.
The human life is becoming more complex and systematic and the request for efficiency and rationality is elevating.
Consequently, human is becoming more machine-like and slave of organization.
So, the members of organization experience severe discord and frustration.
Furthermore, the team spirit of members have decreased and the personal freedom and equality consciousness have been developed. So, the traditional forced laws and authority can't achieve the aims of organization by voluntary internalizing of member's responsibilities and voluntary carrying out of his own share of work.
The will and belief for the work of organization's members are appeared variably by a variety of factors such as interests and discord among members, lack of understanding about any circumstances.
The study of morale among employees of Mokpo Exchange Office is to examine the problems and to present the reform measure of the factors about the declining morale of employees according to the important role and function of Korea Telecom in the modem society which aims the local information society.
This thesis is composed as follows.
The first chapter, the introduction.
The second chapter, the general theory of morale.
The third chapter, the present condition of Korea Telecommunication.
The fourth chapter, the examination of morale condition.
The fifth chapter, the factors of morale hindrance and reform plan.
The sixth chapter, the conclusion.
The practical examination about the morale level have been carried out by me from Dec. 30, 1991 to Jan. 18, 1992.
I have visited and examined every Depts, sections and rooms directly.
I have examined 5 relay stations and 19 islands branches by mail.
Totally, 4 depts, 1 branch, 17 sections, 5 relay stations, 19 branches are examined and 6 officers are excluded in this examination.
The reason of the above is that I don't know the inner situation of Mokpo Telephone Station and the middle administrators and employees who have deep causal relations receive the reports of idea delivery and handle.
The details of questions are follows.
The personal characteristics of respondents, the present working conditions and the decisive factors of work morale based on the experience, remuneration, working condition, reward and punishment and decisive factors of morale, personnel changes and decisive factor of morale, personal relationship and decisive factors of morale.
I have examined and analyzed the above items and confirmed that the employees' standard of morale is not satisfactory generally.
Especially, the disbelief in the personnel administration about promotion and transfer is remarkably apparent.
Facing the above, this examination presents simply 4 items of reform measure of personnel system which is necessary for improving employees' morale standard.
