The central odontogenic fibroma is benign odontogenic neoplasm occurring within the jaws, this neoplasm is considered to be a tumor of the mesenchymal components of the odontogenic apparatus: the periodontal ligament, dental papilla, or dental follicle, this tumor appears to occur more frequently in children and young adults, and has a predilection for occurrence in the mandible. It is generally asymptomatic except for swelling of the jaw. Surgical resection of the lesion was performed by partial mandibulectomy and was done simultaneously with metal plate insertion.
