이 연구의 목적은 이루지 못한 목표의 달성을 추구하는 대학생들의 지각된 진로 불확실성, 심리적 적응, 미래목표, 목표동기, 목표평가를 목표달성 집단과 비교하여 알아보는 데 있다. 전국 ...

이 연구의 목적은 이루지 못한 목표의 달성을 추구하는 대학생들의 지각된 진로 불확실성, 심리적 적응, 미래목표, 목표동기, 목표평가를 목표달성 집단과 비교하여 알아보는 데 있다. 전국 4년제 대학교 재학생 755명으로부터 온라인 조사 자료를 수집하였다. 첫째, 독립표본 t 검증 결과, 지각된 진로 불확실성 수준, 사회적 변화에 대한 1차 평가, 불안, 미래목표를 추구하는 외적 이유, 동일시 이유, 내적 이유, 미래목표의 중요성 평가에서 목표추구 집단과 목표달성 집단 간 차이가 유의하지 않았다. 그러나 목표달성 집단에 비해 목표추구 집단의 사회적 변화에 대한 2차 평가, 삶의 만족도, 미래목표의 달성가능성 평가, 미래목표에 대한 긍정적 감정 수준이 유의하게 낮은 반면에 우울, 스트레스, 내사된 이유 수준은 유의하게 높았다. 둘째, 미래목표 내용의 질적 분석 결과, 두 집단에서 취업 관련 미래목표가 가장 많이 진술되었다. 이러한 연구결과가 목표추구 대학생들의 심리적 적응 지원에 주는 시사점을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate goal striving college students’ perceived career uncertainty, psychological adjustment, future goals, goal motives and goal appraisals compared to goal completion students. Online survey data were collected from a nationwide sample of 755 college students. First, independent samples t-tests revealed that group differences in perceived career uncertainty, primary appraisal of social change, anxiety, extrinsic/identified/intrinsic reasons, and appraisal of future goal importance were not significant. However, the goal striving group was significantly lower in secondary appraisal of social change, life satisfaction, appraisal of future goal attainability, and positive feeling toward future goals but was significantly higher in depression, stress, and introjected reasons than the goal completion group. Second, a qualitative analysis indicated that both groups most frequently stated future goals related to employment. Implications for enhancing psychological adjustment of goal striving college students were discussed.
