개념도 방법론을 활용한 대학신입생의 상담요구 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 발달적 전환과 대학생활로의 변화에 당면한 대학신입생의 상담요구를 개념도 방법론(concept mapping)으로 분석하여 그 내용과 중요도를 이해하고 상담서비스 제공의 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다.
이를 위해 설정한 연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학신입생이 상담 받고 싶어 하는 내용은 무엇이며, 어떠한 군집으로 분류되는가? 둘째, 대학신입생이 상담 받고 싶어 하는 내용의 상대적 중요도는 어떠한가?.
연구 참여자는 J대학교 1학년 중 사회과학대학 7명, 인문대학 5명, 경영대학 3명 등 총 15명 이었다. 이들의 상담요구를 산출하기 위해 초점질문이 적힌 반구조화 질문지와 브레인스토밍을 실시하였고, 총 100개의 최종 진술문이 만들어졌다. 최종 진술문을 연구 참여자의 분류 및 평정 과정을 거쳐 집단 유사성 행렬표(GSM)를 만들고 다차원척도법(ALSCAL)과 위계적 군집분석(Ward의 방법)을 실시하여 개념도를 작성하였다. 상담요구의 중요도를 알아보기 위해 5점 리커트 척도로 평정하여 각 군집과 문항의 중요도를 파악하였다.
본 연구 결과 6개의 군집(군집1: 독립적 자의식 및 성공에 대한 압박감, 군집2: 학업관리의 어려움, 군집3: 자기조절능력 요구, 군집4: 대학에 들어와 당면한 현실적 문제, 군집5: 성인초기 적응의 어려움, 군집6: 대학생활 부적응으로 인한 자신감 저하)과 2개의 차원(환경 영역 - 개인 영역, 행동 변화 및 적응 영역 - 정서 영역)으로 구성된 개념도를 완성하였다. 상담요구의 중요도는 전체 평균 3.01로 보통 이상으로 나타났고, 의존적 부모자녀 관계를 벗어나 부모로부터 심리․경제적 독립 의지와 인정 욕구가 반영된 진술문이 중요하다(4점) 이상으로 나타났다.
본 연구는 개념도 방법론을 사용하여 대학신입생의 시각에 근거한 자료를 추출하고, 이들이 지각하는 상담요구의 개념적 구조를 시각적으로 표현하였다. 이에 본 연구 결과는 대학신입생의 상담요구를 이해하는데 보다 타당하고 생생한 기초 자료로, 상담서비스 제공 및 프로그램 개발의 기초자료 활용에 유용할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to find the importance and contents of counseling needs of university freshmen facing developmental changes and transitions into university life by the concept mapping method.
To implement this survey, 15 subjects from J University freshmen have written a total of 100 final statements in the semi-structured questionnaire and by their brainstorming. Those data have gone through the classification and evaluation so that the group similarity matrix has been created together with a concept mapping by the multidimensional scale analysis and hierarchical Cluster Analysis. To investigate the extent of importance of counseling needs, five-point Likert scale rating has been applied to each group and question.
The results have shown that six different clusters ( cluster 1: independent self-consciousness, and the pressure for success , Cluster 2: difficult Management of academics, cluster 3: self-regulation skills required , Cluster 4: practical issues after college admission, cluster 5: difficult adaption of early adulthood, cluster 6: diffidence due to poor college maladjustment) and two dimensions ( environmental-private sectors , behavioral change and adaptation sectors-emotional area ) have been shown through concept-mapping. The degree of im/portance in counseling needs is more than 3.01 above the average. That of willingness and recognition in terms of psychological and economical independence out of dependent relationship between parent and child has appeared as important (4 points).
This study, by the use of concept mapping, has extracted data based on the vision of university freshmen and displayed visually the conceptual structure of needs for counselling perceived by freshmen. Thus, the result will be used to understand the needs for counseling of university freshmen and be utilized to apply as a basis reasonable and realistic data, as well as to provide counseling services and basic data for program development.
