한일 양언어에 있어서 한어(漢語) 오노마토피어 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본연구에서는, 한·일 양언어에 있어 한어 오노마토피어의 【AA型】형을 대상으로 하여 그 음형(音形)을 분석했다. 분석한 결과 한·일 양언어의 한어 오노마토피어는 【AA型】이라는 같은 형태를 이루고 있으면서도 각각의 언어에서는 다른 음형(音形)으로서 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 우선 일본어의 경우는 고유 오노마토피어에 있어서도 빈번하게 나타나는 음형(音形)인 ｢○○型｣｢○イ○イ型｣｢○ウ○ウ型｣｢○キ○キ型｣｢○ク○ク型｣｢○ツ○ツ型｣｢○ッ○ツ型｣｢○ン○ン型｣의 패턴을 이루고 있었다. 이에 비해서 한국어의 경우는 일정한 패턴을 이루지 않고 고유 오노마토피어의 음형(音形)과도 다른 패턴으로 나타나고 있다. 이러한 점에서 일본어 한어 오노마토피어는 한자어로서의 개념이 약해지고 고유 오노마토피어로서 의식되는 용례가 나타날 수 있지만, 한국어 한어 오노마토피어의 경우 고유 오노마토피어로서 의식되는 용례는 거의 나타나지 않는다.
즉 일본어의 경우 그 음형이 고유 오노마토피어와 일치하는 용례는 고유 오노마토피어로 의식되어 한어인지 고유어인지의 경계가 애매하게 된다. 이에 비해서 한국어의 경우는 한어 오노마토피어와 고유 오노마토피어의 음형(音形)에 있어 경계가 명확하기 때문에 한어 오노마토피어는 고유 오노마토피어로 의식되지 않고 일반 부사로 의식된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to analyze the forms of onomatopoeia in Chinese characters, based
on the 【AA pattern】of onomatopoeia which is expressed in both Korean and
Japanese. It turns out that onomatopoeia in Chinese characters used in Korean and
Japanese shares the same pattern of 【AA pattern】 but the forms of onomatopoeia
in both languages are different. In case of Japanese, the form of onomatopoeia in
Chinese characters is the same as that of onomatopoeia in Japanese characters. In
case of Korean, however, the form is quite different from that in Korean characters.
Japanese onomatopoeia in Chinese characters consists of ｢○○ pattern｣, ｢○イ○イ
pattern｣, ｢○ウ○ウ pattern｣, ｢○キ○キ pattern｣, ｢○ク○ク pattern｣, ｢○ツ○ツ pattern｣,
｢○ッ○ツ pattern｣, and ｢○ン○ン pattern｣, which are frequently used patterns in
onomatopoeia in Japanese characters as well. On the other hand, Korean
onomatopoeia in Chinese characters isn't composed of any specific patterns and has
quite different forms from those of onomatopoeia in Korean characters. Thus, in
Japanese onomatopoeia expressed in Chinese characters, you can not easily find the
trace of Chinese characters, but perceive it as onomatopoeia in Japanese characters.
On the contrary, Korean onomatopoeia borrowed from Chinese characters is seldom
accepted as onomatopoeia in Korean characters.
That is to say, in case of Japanese, it is difficult to distinguish onomatopoeia in
Chinese characters from that in Japanese ones, since the form of onomatopoeia in
Chinese characters is the same as that in Japanese characters. In case of Korean, in
which there is a clearly drawn line between onomatopoeia in Chinese characters and
that in Korean characters, onomatopoeia in Chinese characters is not regarded as
onomatopoeia in Korean characters but regarded as a general adverb.
