With the development of technology, VR technology and its products have attracted the attention of scholars and enterprises. Immersion and interaction are the inherent characteristics of VR animation, and also the biggest difference and advantage with other art types. This paper focuses on the VR animation 〈Bonfire〉 and studies the interactive mode of VR animation in order to increase the audience’s immersion. When the audience experiences 〈Bonfire〉, they interact with the virtual world and promote the development of the story through their own actions. The purpose of the research is to summarize the interactive ways that can improve the immersion of VR animation through analysis. The scope of the study is to analyze the interaction between 〈Bonfire〉 and excellent VR animations from 2016 to 2022. Then, combined with the results of the questionnaire survey and the data analysis of SmartPLS software, it is verified that the four interaction ways can have a promoting impact on the immersion degree. This study provides a meaningful reference for the interactive design and production of VR animation, and emphasizes the key role of interactive methods in improving immersion. It helps to improve the quality and attractiveness of VR animation, and further promotes the development of the virtual reality field.
