한국 장애인과 비장애인의 우식경험 영구치 지수에 관한 연구 = A Study on DMFT Index between persons with and without disabilities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the oral health conditions of persons with and without disabilities in South Korea using DMFT(Decay, Missing, Filling Teeth) Index. This study in adults with disabilities who participated in the 6th 2013 the first year of the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Based on the oral examination only in Korea more than 19 years of age and health survey conducted by the non-disabled, and the Department of Health and Human Services Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Target population is estimated to be nationwide registration handicapped by the Disabilities Act was 2,715,069 persons, national estimates of the number of non-disabled people was 37,363,571 people. The mean values of DMFT Index in persons with disabilities was 8.2, and 6.85 in persons without disabilities (p<.001). Therefore, in order to improve the oral health of persons with and without disabilities, it is deemed necessary to exert more social awareness to expand the oral health services targeted for persons with disabilities. Moreover, it is also critical to secure professional manpower for oral health service providers prioritizing disabled persons.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국 장애인과 비장애인의 우식경험영구치 지수의 관련성을 규명하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 보건복지부 질병관리본부에서 실시한 2013년 제 6기 1차년도 국민건강영양조사를 바탕으로 한국의 만19세 이상으로 구강검진과 건강설문에 참여한 성인 장애인과 비장애인을 대상으로 하였다. 목표 모집단은 장애인복지법에 의해 등록된 장애인으로 전국 추정수는 2,715,069명이었고, 비장애인의 전국 추정수는 37,363,571명이었다. 한국 장애인과 비장애인의 우식경험영구치 지수의 관련성을 분석한 결과, 장애인의 우식경험영구치 지수는 8.2개, 비장애인의 우식경험영구치 지수는 6.85개이었으며, 통계학적으로 유의미한 영향이 있는 것을 확인하였다(p<.001). 따라서 장애인과 비장애인의 구강보건 향상을 위한 장애인의 사회적 관심과 장애인의 구강보건사업의 보완 및 확대를 비롯한 재정적인 지원이 필요하다고 생각된다. 또한, 장애인을 위한 치과진료실과 장애인 구강보건사업을 위해 전문 인력 확보가 적극적으로 활성화 되어야 할 것으로 생각된다.
