인지적 도제이론에 입각한 대학교 컴퓨터 음악 수업 사례: 학습자로서의 자신감 향상을 중심으로 = A Case Study of a Computer Music Class Based on Cognitive Apprenticeship Theory: Improving the Student's Self-Confidence on Learning

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 학습자 중심의 학습모형의 하나인 ‘인지적 도제이론’(Cognitive Apprenticeship)을 음악대학의 컴퓨터 음악 수업에 적용하고 그 결과로서, 학생들의 입장에서 스스로 인식한 학습자로서의 자신감에 대한 변화정도를 알아보고자 하였다. 결과분석을 위해 학생들의 성찰저널과 설문조사를 통해 자료를 수집․분석하였으며, 그 결과로서 자신감 향상에 대한 긍정적 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 비록 4주간의 짧은 기간에 시범적으로 운영한 사례이지만, 그 수업의 긍정적 결과를 볼 때, 인지적 도제이론을 음악교육의 대안적 교수모형으로 시도해볼 가치가 있음을 확인하였으며, 나아가 강의중심적 수업에서 벗어나서 좀 더 학습자 참여적, 체험적 방식에 의한 음악수업의 필요성을 시사해주었다.

The purpose of this case study is to examine any changes in terms of the self-confidence of the learner in a computer music class conducted according to the leaner-centered learning model of ‘cognitive apprenticeship' at the university level. The data collected from the students' reflective journals and a student survey of the class showed positively improved self-confidence of the students. Even though the study lasted only for four weeks, the result of this study indicated the pedagogical value of the cognitive apprenticeship as an alternative approach to music education and furthered the necessity of the pedagogical shift of music class in higher education from lecture-centered to student-engaged approach.
