Abstract: This study seeks a political and philosophical basis for the definition of migration. The main purpose of this paper is to explore political and philosophical solutions to this issue. The method of research focuses on analyzing existing political and philosophical discourse on the issue of migrant membership. This study analyzes the theories on the hospitality of membership and diagnoses their limitations. This research also pay attention to the political theory of Benhabib who suggests the most convincing alternative on migration and membership. This study emphasizes Benhabib’s concept of democratic iteration and diagnoses its potential and limitations. Benhabib’s theory is recognized for its significance in that it accepts innate contradictions in the issue of migrant membership and seeks realistic alternatives. However, it should be complemented further by accepting the norms of global citizenship or such afterwards.

이주, 환대 그리고 민주적 반추김 병 곤**

연구 목적: 이 연구는 국경을 넘어 이동이 증가하고 있는 현실에서 제기되고 있는 이주의 정의에 대한 정치철학적 바탕을 모색한다. 이 논문은 이 문제에 대한 정치철학적 해결책을 모색하는 것을 주목적으로 한다.
연구 방법: 연구 방법은 이주민 성원권 문제에 대한 기존의 정치철학적 담론을 분석하는 것이다. 그리고 가장 설득력있는 대안으로 벤하비브의 논의에 대해 분석하고 이론의 현실적 의미를 파악한다.
연구 내용: 이 논문의 연구내용은 이주민 성원권에 대한 환대의 윤리 등의 견해를 분석하고 그 한계를 진단한다. 이에 따라 대안으로 벤하비브의 민주적 반추의 개념을 분석하고 가능성과 한계를 진단한다.
결론 및 제언: 벤하비브의 이론은 이주민 성원권 문제의 본질적 모순을 인정하고, 현실적인 대안을 모색한다는 점에서 의미가 인정된다. 그러나 절충주의적 성격과 심의 민주주의론의 한계를 가지고 있다. 실천적인 대안이 되기 위해서 세계시민주의적 규범의 수용 등 보완이 필요하다.
