2007학년도 공주교육대학교 신입생 실태조사 = Investigating the Actual Condition of the Year 2007 Freshmen in the Gongju National University of Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 공주교육대학교의 2007학년도 신입생들의 기본정보와 가정환경, 경제적 환
경, 대학에 대한 태도, 가치관, 심리적 특성, 그리고 학생생활연구소에 대한 태도 등 총
7개영역에 대하여 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 설문지 조사로서 본교 신
입생 535명중 489명이 응답하였고 이 설문지 결과를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 2007
학년도 신입생의 연령분포는 만 21세 이상이 34.2%로 2006학년도에 비해 평균연령이
낮아졌으며, 과외를 받은 경험은 다소 높아졌다. 둘째, 신입생들은 다양한 사회적, 문화
적 그리고 종교적 배경 속에서 성장한 것으로 보이며 따라서 이런 다양성이 대학교육
에서 고려되어야 한다. 셋째, 전년도와 비교해 볼 때, 신입생들이 지각하는 가정의 경제
형편은 부유해졌으며, 학비 조달에 있어서도 큰 어려움 없이 학교생활을 하는 것으로
보인다. 넷째, '06학년도에 비해 신입생들은 본교 입학에 대한 만족감이 다소 낮아졌음
을 발견할 수 있었다. 다섯째, 신입생들은 진실한 대인관계를 인생에서 가장 중요한 가
치로 또한 사회적 성공요인으로는 성실.노력이 중요하다고 생각하고 있다. 여섯째, 혼전
성관계에 대해 신입생 응답자의 69.3%가 상관하지 않는다고 하여서, 캠퍼스 내외에서
일어날 수 있는 성희롱 및 성폭력에 대한 예방대책이 필요하다. 일곱째, 신입생들이 직
면하고 있는 가장 큰 문제들은 대학생활과 대인관계들이며 따라서 상담지원으로 진로
및 인간관계 개발과 대인 관계 등이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the actual condition of the year
2007 freshmen in the Gongju National University of Education in terms of
their demography, family backgrounds, socioeconomic status, attitudes
toward the university, values, psychological characteristics, attitudes toward
the Research and Service Center for Students. Among 535 freshmen, 489
students replied to the survey.
The results lead to the following implications. First, 34.2 % of replied
freshmen were beyond 21 years or older, the average age of freshmen and
private tutoring that they took were lower than those of the year 2006.
Second, they came from various social, cultural, and religious
backgrounds, so cultural diversity should be taken into account granted to
guide and teach them.
Third, as compared the results of the year 2006, the percentage are
increased that most freshmen think their domestic economy a little better.
Fourth, we found they were unhappier with entrance to this university
but happier with Department than freshmen of the year 2006.
Fifth, they think the great value in life is the personal relationship and
the primary factors of success are honesty and hard work.
Sixth, 69.3 % of replied freshmen don't care a premarital sex, so the
publicity toward sexual harassment should be released to prevent sexual
assaults on and/or off campus.
Seventh, the problems that are now being faced to freshmen are
adaptation to the campus life and personal relationship, and counseling
supports should be provided for them to do the career orientation,
development guidance and personal relationship.
