방과후학교 효율적 운영방안 연구 : 대진상생교육센터를 중심으로 = Study on efficient operation of After-school

국문 초록 (Abstract)

방과후학교는 다양한 프로그램 중에 음악을 쉽게 접하고 흥미를 잃지 않게 도와주고, 예술 교육의 갈증을 해소시킨다. 그리하여 방과후학교를 통해 학생들의 다양한 경험과 교육을 선보이고, 교육서비스 활성화, 사교육비 경감, 교육 격차 해소 및 복지 실현 등 정책 목표를 가지고 기업을 운영하고 있다. 또한, 기업의 사회적 책임 중 하나인 일자리 창출에 기여한다. 하지만 실제 방과후학교를 운영하는 데에 지역의 한계, 단위학교 업무 과다, 음악 강사들의 교수법, 운영비 등 다수의 어려움을 가지고 있다.
본 연구는 방과후학교 효율적 운영방안을 위해 교육부와 통계청에서 발표된 자료를 통해 대진상생교육센터를 중심으로 실태를 조사, 방과후학교의 현황과 운영의 어려움을 파악하였다.
정부가 방과후학교를 추진하게 된 가장 주된 이유는 교육격차 해소, 저출산 ․ 고령화 등의 사회 문제 대처, 사교육비 경감 등과 같은 사회적인 성격을 지닌 것들이었다. 그 중 가장 중요시 되는 사교육비 부분에서는 수치를 통해 사교육비가 경감되는 것을 정확하게 밝혔고, 더불어 교육 복지 실현을 가능하게 하였다.
한편, 방과후학교 음악교육을 통해 자주성, 자존감, 근면성, 책임감, 준법성, 배려심, 협동심, 만족도 등 아이들 인성에 8가지 영향을 미친다. 이는 음악을 교육함에 따라 굉장히 좋은 효과가 파생되는 것을 짐작할 수 있었다.
반면, 방과후학교 음악교육 운영에 대한 문제점으로는 첫째, 음악강사 교수법 및 업무 파악이 원활치 않고, 둘째, 기업에서는 지역의 한계, 단위학교 행정처리, 강사양성과정, 교보재 관리, 축소된 교부금, 수강인원 감소 등으로 운영난을 겪고 있다.
이를 개선하기 위해 방과후학교 운영과 관련된 SWOT 분석과 체계적인 지도자 양성과정 개발, 깊이있는 교재 및 다양한 컨텐츠 연구·개발, 정부의 지속적인 정책 지원 등으로 방안을 모색해보았다.
이러한 다양한 방법의 활용을 통해 방과후학교를 효율적으로 운영한다면 실무가 원활해질 뿐만아니라, 단위학교와의 관계, 학부모와의 관계, 독자적인 교수법과 체계적인 운영으로 기업의 성장과 발전에 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.
