The Changnyeong area is located in the middle of the Nakdong river, and was a center of exchange that connected Gaya and Silla, and an important military and transportation hub. Based on these geographical advantages, the ancient Changnyeong area grew into a unique space where the cultures of Silla and Gaya were fused.
In the Changnyeong area, two central ancient tombs are identified: Gyeseong tombs, Gyodong and Songhyeondong tombs. In the Changnyeong area, various Tomb style such as Wooden chamber burial, Stone-lined chamber burial and Corridor-chamber tomb are built.
