고령자 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구 –도・농간 비교 분석-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그간 고령자 삶의 만족도와 관련변인 간 관계성에 대한 다양한 논의가 있었음에도 불구하고, 지금까지 연구가 미흡했던 고령자 삶의 만족도와 영향 변인간의 관계를 국내 고령사회의 공간적 특성과 연관하여 살펴보았다는 점에서 차별성을 가지고 있다.
본 연구를 수행하기 위해 ‘한국고용정보원’(Korea Employnent Information Service)의 ‘고령화연구패널’(KLoSA) 6차 조사자료(2016년)의 65세 이상 고료자 자료를 추출하여 분석 자료로 활용하였다.
전체 표본(n=4552)을 대상으로 본 연구의 주요관심사안인 고령자 삶의 만족도가 도시와 농촌이라는 공간적 특성에 따라 유의한 차이가 있는지 분석을 수행한 결과 다른 조건이 동일하다면 농촌지역 고령자 삶의 만족도가 도시지역 고령자에 비해 약 1.6점 높은 것으로 분석되었다.
다음 단계로 도시와 농촌이라는 공간적 특성에 따라 고령자 삶의 만족도와 주요 영향변인간 관계를 분석 한 결과 도시지역은 노인 종합돌봄서비스의 확대, 고령자 돌봄 여행・문화관람 바우처 지원 확대 등과 같은 복지차원의 정책이 보다 효과적인 반면,농촌지역은 고령자에 대한 맞춤형 일자리 공급을 통한 소득 보전, 즉 경제활동지원정책이 보다 효과적인 정책적 수단이 될 수 있으리라는 결론을 얻었다.

There were numerous studies on the elements affecting life satisfaction of the elderly in South Korea. But few studies examine the influencing factors of life satisfaction of the elderly in terms of spatial property. This study compared factors affecting life satisfaction of elderly people between urban and rural area in South Korea.
This study examined if there are significant differences in life satisfaction of the elderly in urban and rural area in Korea based on the data (n=4552) of elderly people over 65 years old from the 6th survey data of Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA) at Korea Employnent Information Service.
The study found that, if other conditions are the same, life satisfaction of elderly people in rural area is 1.6 point higher than that of elderly people in urban area. Furthermore this study found that welfare policies such as expansion of comprehensive care service for the elderly, support for elderly care tour, and expansion of voucher for cultural viewing are more effective for life satisfaction of the elderly in urban area. While, in the rural areas, it was concluded that income protection through the provision of customized jobs for the elderly, that is, economic activity support policy could become a more effective policy instrument.
