Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become an integral part of many educational programs across the globe. Utilize technological advancements to promote innovation in teaching and learning, improve quality and access to education, and effectively manage education, thereby constructing an adaptive open education on a digital foundation and contributing to the development of a digital government, digital economy, and digital society. Despite its prominent benefits in education perceived by mosteducators and administrators, key challenges to ICT adoption in educational management still exist. As an attempt to investigate key factors contributing to the ICT adoption in Vietnamese educational administration, the current mixed-methods research employed one printed, valid questionnaire to 500 educational staff, followed by a semi-structured interview with3 voluntary lecturers. Findings suggested that the ICT behavioral intention was strongly influenced by performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating condition, and service quality at the university. Additionally, the lack of ICT training and stable ICT infrastructure were present barriers to the lecturers’ ICT implementation. After all, the research recommended a few solutions to this problem.
