노인의 미용복지서비스 이용실태와 삶의 만족도 = Status of Beauty Welfare Service Usage by the Elderly and Their Life Satisfaction

Jeollabuk-do for identifying status of the usage of beauty welfare service by the elderly and the relation between such status and the satisfaction on their life. For the period using the service among the features of usage of beauty service, the highest percentage of female and male respondents selected ‘less than 2 months’. The kinds of service which the respondents used were haircut, dyeing in the sequence of higher ratio. The service which respondents desired were dyeing, skin care in that sequence of higher ratio. For satisfaction after experiencing beauty service, 53.1% selected ‘satisfied’ and 46.9% answered “very satisfied”. It indicates that all respondents in this survey were very satisfied with the beauty service. In case of the satisfaction on life, 46.0% was very satisfied, 42.6% was satisfied and 10.0% expressed the service was good. 1.4% was not satisfied with the beauty service. The satisfaction on the place for beauty service was very high in the senior welfare center which was followed by the welfare center and the nursing home. Next is the relation between satisfaction of beauty service participants and life satisfaction. For the group showing satisfaction on service, 65.7% was satisfied with life and 12.9% was very satisfied with life. In case of the group showing high satisfaction on service, 16.5% was satisfied with life and 83.5% was very satisfied with life.
The results indicated the relation between the satisfaction of those who experienced the beauty service and their life satisfaction.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인들의 미용복지 서비스 이용 실태와 삶의 만족도의 관련성을 파악하기 위하여 서울 및 경기, 전북 지역의 노인 관련 시설 17곳의 60세 이상 노인을 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며 주요결과는 다음과 같다. 참여한 대상자의 일반적 특성은 성별은 여성 288명(65.6%)로 여성의 참여가 많았으며, 연령은 70-79세(46.5%)로 참여가 가장 많았다. 미용서비스 이용 특성은 이용 기간으로 남성과 여성 모두 2개월 미만이 가장 많았고, 미용서비스 이용 경험 서비스 종류 및 희망하는 서비스는 이용 경험 미용서비스로 커트, 염색 순으로 나타났으며, 희망하는 미용서비스는 염색, 피부관리 순으로 높게 나타났다. 미용서비스에 경험 후 만족도는 매우 만족 46.9%로 본 연구에 참여한 대상자 모두 만족도가 높게 나타났으며, 삶의 영향에 미치는 만족도 역시 매우 만족 46.0%로 높게 나타났다. 미용서비스가 이루어진 장소가 노인복지관이 매우만족이 높았으며, 종합복지관, 요양원 순으로 나타나 차이를 보였다. 미용서비스 참여자의 만족도와 삶의 만족도와의 관련성은 서비스 만족군의 경우 삶의 만족도가 만족은 65.7%, 매우 만족은 12.9%로 나타났으며, 서비스의 매우 만족군의 경우 삶의 만족도는 만족 16.5%, 매우 만족은 83.5%로 나타나 미용서비스 경험자의 만족도가 삶의 만족도와 관련성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.
이상의 연구결과로부터 노인들의 미용복지 서비스와 삶의 만족도의 관련성이 있으며 특히 미용서비스 경험 만족도가 매우만족 한 경우 삶의 만족도 역시 매우만족이 높은 것으로 확인하였다. 삶의 질은 본인이 생각하는 주관적인 평가를 의미하며 노인의 삶의 질은 신체적·심리적·사회적 요인 중 다양하게 변화하는 요인 중 특히 신체적 노화를 지연하며 청결 및 아름다움을 유지하는데 미용적 요소가 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 추후 체계적인 교육과 다양한 미용복지 프로그램개발 및 노인들의 수요와 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 전문적인 인력를 양성하여, 고령화시대에 복지 분야 중 미용복지가 노인들의 삶의 만족도에 기여하고자 한다.
단, 본 연구의 제한점으로 특정지역 노인관련 기관을 방문하여 실제 노인들에게 설문 문항에 대하여 설명 한 후 설문에 참여하도록 하여 그 결과를 전국으로 일반화하기에 어려움을 가지고487 있다. 따라서 사회가 고령화 되어감에 미용복지서비스 중 노인 미용복지 연구의 활성화로 다양한 후속 연구가 나오기를 기대한다.
