In this paper, we present a performance improvement method of the stabilization feedback loop for EOTS. We analyzed the operation characteristics of the rate-integrating mode gyroscope with the anti-windup controller. From this analysis, we pointed out the various problems which could be arisen in the real strap-down system. To overcome these problems, we preposed a new stabilization feedback loop structure which is based on the model reference approach. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, various and extensive simulation and experimental results are given.
