응급실 간호사의 건강신념이 낙상예방활동에 미치는 영향 = Effects of Health Belief on Fall Prevention Activities of Emergency Room Nurses

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적: 본 연구는 응급실 간호사의 낙상예방활동의 수준을 파악하고, 건강신념(지각된 민감성, 지각된 유익성, 지각된 심각성, 지각된 장애성과 행동계기)을 기반으로 낙상예방활동에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하기 위하여 시도되었다. 방법: 본 연구는 서술적 조사 연구이며, 2개 권역응급의료센터, 4개 지역응급의료센터와 2개 지역응급의료기관 응급실에 근무하는 127명의 간호사를 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS 20.0으로 평균과 표준편차, T-test, ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계 분석과 회귀분석법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 응급실 간호사의 낙상예방활동의 평균 점수는 3.78±.50점이었다. 응급실 간호사의 일반적 특성과 건강신념이 낙상예방활동에 미치는 영향력은 30.8%이었다. 지각된 민감성, 지각된 유익성과 행동계기는 낙상예방활동과 정적 영향을 미치는 변수이며, 지각된 심각성과 응급실 경력 순으로 유의한 부적 영향을 미치는 변수로 나타났다. 결론: 응급실 간호사의 낙상예방활동을 향상하기 위해서는 본 연구 결과를 토대로 낙상예방활동의 지각된 유익성을 높이기 위한 행동계기를 제공하는 것이 효과적일 것으로 파악된다. 특히, 응급실에 배치된 지 1년이 안된 간호사와 5년 이상의 경력이 많은 간호사, 지역의료기관에 소속된 간호사를 대상으로 낙상예방활동을 강화할 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting fall prevention activities of emergency room (ER) nurses based on their health belief factors (perceived susceptibility, perceived benefits, perceived severity, perceived barriers, and cues to action). Methods: The study design was a descriptive survey using questionnaires which were given to 127 emergency room nurses from two regional emergency medical centers, four local emergency medical centers, and two local emergency medical facilities. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA with LSD test, Pearson correlation, and multiple regressions. Results: ER nurses' fall prevention activities had a mean of 3.78±.50. Eight individual characteristics and health belief factors accounted for 30.8% of the fall prevention activities. Fall prevention activities were found to be positively affected by emergency medical facilities, perceived benefits, and cues to action and negatively affected by factors, such as ER career and perceived severity. Conclusion: The results indicate that it is necessary to formulate a plan for enhancing perceived benefits and cues to action to improve fall prevention activities. In addition, fall prevention activities should be encouraged for ER nurses who have worked in local medical institutions for less than 1 year or more than 5 years.
