국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 시와 음악에 적용할 수 있는 하나의 "환기"(evocation) 모델을 제시하고자 하는 것이 목적이다. 이를 규명하기 위해, 우리는 마르크 도미니시(Marc DOMINICY)에 의해 발전된, "환기"라고 일컫어지는 시학론으로부터 착상을 얻어서 "형식과 인지의 이중원리"(double principe formel et cognitif)에서 출발했다.
환기는 시와 음악 속에 현존하는 인지과정(processus cognitif)이며, 백과사전적 기억에 의뢰한다. 이 환기과정(processus d'evocation)에 있어서, 니꼴라 뤼뵈(Nicolas RUWET)에 의해 규명된 "표면상의 균형관계"(parallelisme superficiel)가 시와 음악의 특징적인 형식원칙을 구축하며, 원형의미론(semantique du prototype)은 환기의 내용을 그 전반형식에 있어서 암시하는데 기초가 된다.
우리는 이처럼 시(혹은 음악) 한 작품을 구성하는 원칙들을 도출하면서, 시는 그 전반형식과 시가 표현하는 원형 혹은 원형들 간에 환기적 관계를 작품화한다는 사실을 옹호한다. 다음으로 이 두 예술분야 각각의 특수성을 고려하면서 창조자에 의해 작품화된 내용을 재구성할 수 있게 하는 절차(procedure)을 제안한다.
"물 속의 반영"(reflet dans l'eau)을 주제로 다루는 작품들의 분석을 통해서, 이 연구는 시인과 음악가가 환기를 구성하는데 있어 그들 특유의 예술적 자재를 어떻게 다루는지를 고증한다. 이 예술가들은 이 이마주의 형식적이고 인지 의미적인 전형적인 특성들 - 거울효과, 유동성, 파문, 반짝거림, 미묘한 몽상, 전도된 영상 -을 탐구한다. 이것은 바로 수신자들로 하여금 그들 고유의 그리고 오랫동안 그들의 기억속에 간직된 표상(representation)을 되찾을 수 있도록 하는 요소들이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This dissertation investigates the role of the pioneer Korean christians in beginning indigenous Presbyterian churches in Korea and in translating the Gospels into the Korean vernacular.
Protestant christianity was introduced in Korea at a time when traditional religions were in a state of decay. The peoples receptivity to Protestant Christianity was closely related to the religious climate, since they were looking for something new that would quench their religious thirst. They were quick to appreciate the gospel. In addition, the instability of the socio-political situation that wae created through a series of criese in the late nineteenth century encouraged people in Korea to turn to Protestant Christianity.
Pioneer Korean Christians who came mainly from northwestern Korea established the first indigenous Presbyterian churches, beginning the first Protestant missions in the forbidden land in which bo missionary was allowed to work, Most of these indigenous churches were self-supporting and self-propagating from the beginning.
The indigenous Christians also played a renarkable role in translating the Fospels into the Korean vernacular. They produced two indigenous versions of the Gospels, the Yesoo Shung-Kyo version in Manchuria and the Yi Soo-Chung version in Japan, before growth of Protestant Christianity in Korea, laying the biblical foundation for the Korean Protestant church.
The foreign missionaries in Korea carried on their work in the indigenous Protestant churches. They did not claim to be the founders of the Protestan church in Korea, bur they played a remarkable role in training indigenous leadership the developing the soul-winning churches.
