어머니의 양육스트레스ㆍ성인애착과유아의 스트레스ㆍ사회성에 관한 연구 = A Study on Mother’s Parenting Stress, Adult Attachment, and Child Stress, Social Ability of Young Children

The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships and differences among parenting stress, adult attachment, child stress, and social ability of young children. The subjects in this study were 178 five-year-old children (mean age 73.84) who attend day care centers and kindergarten, and their mothers. The research data were collected through the ‘Parenting Stress Index/Short Form’, ‘Experiences in Close Relationship: Self Report Measurement of Adult Attachment’, ‘Korean Preschool Children Daily Stress Scale’, and ‘Social Skill Situation Measurement’. The data were analyzed by Pearson’s correlation, Stepwise Multi-Regression, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffé. The results of this study indicate that there were significant positive correlations between mother’s parenting stress and child stress, and negative correlations between mother’s parenting stress and the social ability of young children. The social ability of young children was the predicted variable that has the most significant relative effect on mother’s parenting stress, and child stress was an additional predicted variable. Moreover, the results of this study indicate that ‘stress related to the assailment with reproaches’ that is subordinate factor of child stress has the most significant positive predictor of mother’s parenting stress, and ‘regulating emotion’ that is subordinate factor of social ability and ‘stress related to self-esteem’ that is subordinate factor of child stress were additional predictor of mother’s parenting stress. Lastly, the results of this study indicate that the child stress and social ability, and mother’s parenting stress were found to be significantly different in accordance with the mother’s types of adult attachment. The results found that the children of mothers who showed the secure attachment showed a lower level of stress and a higher level of social ability of young children, and the mothers themselves showed a lower recognition of parenting stress.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니의 양육스트레스와 성인애착 그리고 유아의 스트레스와 사회성 간의 관계성과 차이를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 유치원에 재원중인 만 5세 유아(평균 월령 73.84개월)와 어머니 각각 178명이었다. ‘부모 양육스트레스검사’, ‘유아 일상적스트레스검사’, ‘유아 사회성검사’ 그리고 ‘성인애착검사’를 통해 연구자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관, 단계적 중다회귀분석, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé 검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 어머니의 양육스트레스와 유아의 스트레스 간에는 정적상관, 유아의 사회성 간에는 부적 상관이 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 유아의 사회성은 어머니의 양육스트레스에 가장 강력한 영향을 미치는 부적 예측변인으로 나타났으며 유아 스트레스가 추가적인 정적 예측변인으로 나타났다. 또한 하위요인 단계별 중다회귀분석 결과, 유아 스트레스의 하위요인인 ‘비난공격스트레스’가 어머니의 양육스트레스에 가장 강력하게 영향을 미치는 정적 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 다음으로 유아 사회성의 하위요인인 ‘감정다루기’ 및 유아 스트레스의 하위요인인 ‘자존감스트레스’가 유의미하게 영향을 미치는 추가적인 예측변인으로 밝혀졌다. 마지막으로 어머니의 성인애착 유형에 따라 유아 스트레스와 사회성 그리고 어머니의 양육스트레스가 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 안정애착 유형의 어머니의 자녀들은 스트레스가 낮고, 사회성이 높으며, 어머니도 양육스트레스를 적게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다.
