      The number of foreign residents in Korea has been increased double from 1.07 million in 2007 to 2.2 million in 2018 steadily up to today.
      In particular, Korean language ability for foreigners who live in Korea is a key factor influencing their quality of life hugely. In this regard, Korean government ministries also make attempt on establishing various Korean language education policies.
      Therefore, it is required to systematically educate Korean language targeting married female immigrants.
      The study is conducted to examine the current status of Korean language education for married female immigrants who live in Ulsan area and figure out the general matters related to Korean language education through Korean language teachers. And we also surveyed on the needs of teachers and learners.
      The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of Korean language education in Ulsan area and figure out the general deficiency of Korean language education in order to improve the education system.
      In Chapter Ⅱ, we surveyed the current status of married female immigrants in Ulsan area and educational institutions. Through interviews with Korean teachers, we drew out the overall complementary points about Korean language education.
      In Chapter Ⅲ, we suggested improvements which is found by the questionnaire on teachers and learners.
      In Chapter IV, we divided the complementary points into two aspects of education and policy in order to suggest improvements.
      The results of this study is summarized as follows: First, Korean language education which is being conducted at free of charge should be reinforced and learners should have sense of purpose on compulsion.
      Second, Korean language education should be conducted fully in regular time and enough time should be given to learn a second language.
      Third, married female immigrants should know Korean style of education for children or basic knowledge about school-age children. Therefore, education program for married female marriage immigrants’ children should be established.
      Fifth, married female immigrants also want a variety of education such as vocational education, hobby class, academic achievement, and entering school. However, there are only a few general education programs.
      Sixth, it is required to give better treatment for teachers. They should improve the qualifications of Korean language and environmental conditions in order to make efforts, enthusiasm and the quality of learning.
      Seventh, the reeducation and education support for Korean teachers may enhance the professionalism of Korean language education and strengthen the competence of Korean language teachers.
      Therefore, it is important to improve the quality of Korean language education methods for learners.
      The government and the relevant organizations should politically support Korean language education for such a systematic and efficient Korean language education. And teachers and learners should be active in education and participation in order to reinforce Korean language education.
