      This study was carried out to investigate the effect of scaling dates and methods or. the type and flowering from the formed scale bulblet during scale propagation of Lilium elegans 'Connecticut King' in outdoors.
      Before winter, scaly leaves were sprouted on bulblet in scales which are planted before September 20, but stem leaves were not emerged. In case of scales which are planted before July 20, the ratio of scaly leaf emergence in mother scale was higher under the light exposed scae than buried scaleg.
      After winter, both stem leaves and scaly leaves were sprouted from the bulblets which obtained from scaling before July 20. But. bulblets obtained from scaling before July 20. were sprouted only scaly leaves. Ratio of stem leaf emergence in bulblets of mother scale was higher than those of daughter scale. Also, this ratio under the light condition was higher than under the dark condition.
      It is possible to flower in scaling before July 20. Ratio of flowering was higher in planted scales before July 10 than planted July 20.
