중국인 유학생들의 여가제약연구 = Leisure Constraints of the Chinese Students In Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

여가 제약 연구는 수 십 년 동안 여가연구의 중요한 쟁점이 되어왔다. 특히 다양한 민족과 사회적 배경을 중심으로 한 개인들의 제약연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 발맞추어본 연구는 우리사회에 급격히 증가하고 있는 외국인 유학생들을 대상으로 제약요인과 영향요인을 분석하고자 하였다. 구체적으로 유학생 점유율이 가장 높은 중국인 학생들의 제약요인이 무엇인지를 파악하고자 하였으며, 여가제약에 영향을 줄 수 있는 상황변수들(한달용돈, 한국어 능력, 유학기간)과의 관계를 조사하였다. 더불어 추출된 여가제약요인과 개인의 삶의 질에 대한 연구도 수행하였다. FGI와 기존 문헌 연구에서 추출된 총 12개의 제약항목들이 요인분석을 거쳐 4개의 요인으로 나타났으며, 4개의 요인과 상황변수들 사이의 차이분석 결과 상황변수들에 따라서 여가제약요인들은 유의한 차이를 보여주었다. 이를테면 한달용돈이 20만원 미만인 그룹의 학생들이 그렇지 않은 그룹의 학생들보다 제약을 더 지각하고 있었으며, 한국어 능력이 낮다고 지각하는 학생들과 유학기간이 1년미만인 학생의 그룹이 그렇지 않은 그룹의 학생들 보다 정보제약을 더 크게 지각하고 있었다. 또한 추출된 4개의 제약요인 중에서 내재적 제약요인과 대인적 제약요인은 개인의 삶의 질에 부정적 영향을 직접적으로 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 각 대학의 유학생 복지 및 관리에 기여할 수 있는 시사점을 제공해 준다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Leisure constraints have been the topic of many studies over the past few decades. These studies have focused on various groups of the population such as elderly, persons with disabilities, and females. This study have focused on Chinese students in Korea. More specifically, how the dimensions of leisure constraints were related to Korean language skill, the length of stay in Korea and the spending money for the month were of interest. Further this study determined whether leisure constraints may significantly influence the quality of life of chinese students or not. Among 12motivation items selected by an integrated approach of FGI and previous literature, factor analysis enabled the 12 items into four underlying dimensions. ANOVA and Multiple Regression were also used to test the proposed 4 hypotheses. Author found that the 4 dimensions of leisure constraints differed with respect to Korean language skill, the length of stay in Korea and the spending money for the month. The final hypothesis was examined to represent the relationship between constraints and life quality. The result showed that there is significant and negative relationships between two variables. The findings of this study offer several managerial implications for directors in managerial positions of universities in Korea.
