      Hanok is the style of architecture which is composed with Ondol(Korean floor heating system) and floor. Traditional Korean-style house has many advantages such as the environment-friendly, health side, culturally, beauty of tradition, harmony with nature, mental stability and soon. But it has many disadvantages as well. In Terms of Livability, heat insulation property, sound receiving room and air thightness are debased. It is also the weakness that construction cost is high in site operation because of wet construction method and impossibility of modularizing.Upkeeping difficulty of Hanok is also being obstacle of making position in housing market.Although Hanok has many plenty of merits. Contemporary Hanok is new type of Hanok which reflects 21c residential environment as maintaining advantages of Hanok. Hanok will be the new type of housing which construction cost is low by improving performance and upkeeping is easy. These kind of Hanok needs to be improved and made many models, and it is the purpose of this study.
