This paper presents a new method based on the block-pulse operatro(BPO) for identifying unknown parameters in distributed parpmeter system(DFS).
The basic idea of the method is to convert the identification problem of the DPS in original function space into that of the algegraic system in image space of the BPO.
Wiht the BPO, this method can deal with a variety of types of the DPS and it leads to the recursive algorithm of identification parameters. The algorithm has a simple form and very convenient parameters.
Computational examples are given to illustrate the application of this method in the first order DPS and the second order DPS.
