격식성에 따른 한국어 요청화행 전략 및 공손 표현 -드라마 말뭉치를 중심으로- = The Strategy and Polite Expressions of Korean Request Speech Act according to Formality -Focused on Drama Corpora-

In this study, we investigated the characteristics and differences between request expressions in the context of [+formality] and [-formality] by analyzing the strategy of request speech act and the usage of polite expressions according to the difference in formality. Since request speech act is a speech act that occurs widely and frequently in real life, directive speech act and request speech act are considered as the same concept to investigate the usage pattern and politeness of the request strategy, and for this, all six sub-categories of 'command, recommendation, request, suggestion, and proposal' presented by Kang Hyoun-hwa(2007) are included in request speech act. In addition, based on the strategy analysis frame of request speech act in this paper, 1255 request utterances were extracted by analyzing 55 episodes of 7 dramas, and the usage of strategies and expression forms were investigated according to the formality. As a result, the use of ‘Mood Derivable’ and ‘Suggestory formula’ were found to be the most commonly used strategies in the two contexts. In addition, the expression forms and the patterns of expressing politeness used in each context showed clear differences according to formality.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 격식성의 차이에 따른 요청화행의 전략과 공손 표현의 사용 양상을 한국어 구어 말뭉치를 중심으로 분석함으로써 [±격식성] 맥락에서 나타나는 요청 표현 간의 특성 및 차이를 밝히고자 하였다. 요청화행은 실생활에서 광범위하고 빈번하게 발생하는 화행이므로 요청 전략 사용 양상과 공손성을 고루 살펴보기 위해 강현화(2007)에서 제시한 ‘명령, 권고, 요구, 부탁, 제안, 제의’의 여섯 가지 하위 범주를 요청화행에 포함하였다. 그리고 본고의 요청화행 전략 분석 틀에 따라 7편 드라마의 55회차를 분석하여 1255회의 요청화행을 추출하였으며 격식성에 따라 전략 및 표현형식의 사용 양상을 확인하였다. 그 결과 명령형 사용하기와 제안하기 전략이 두 맥락에서 공통적으로 가장 많이 사용된 전략으로 나타났다. 또한 각 맥락에서 사용된 표현형식과 공손성 표현 방식은 격식성에 따라 명확한 차이를 보임을 확인하였다.
