Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether Ulsan’s folk songs; related to Korea’s traditional music education can be used as class contents in the 2007 revised regulations and also to localize these songs by restructuring the curriculum.
This study is further aimed at finding methods of localizing Ulsan’s folk songs by developing text books and lesson plans which would restructure the curriculum based on third grade students.
Ulsan can use this music course to teach its traditional nursery rhymes and folk ballads. These were chosen based their practical melodious pieces. The musical pieces were selected to teach third grade music. The materials are aimed at further developing the field of musical education.
The study included in this compellation concluded the following results;
First, given the sanctions of this course, it can not only be applied to the Traditional Music 2007 music and curriculum, but it can also be integrated with the everyday life of an Ulsan resident. The versatile areas include the instrumental realm, the creative areas and listening. It further exclaims the importance of spreading its content.
Secondly, Ulsan folk songs and nursery rhymes were examined and research proved that there is great support for the traditional music and it can therefore be preserved. It can also be practiced and performed locally with ease.
Lastly, there is easy access to the learning materials and songs. These can be downloaded at www.ulsangugak.org. In this reference folder, you can find most of Ulsan’s traditional folk songs, so students and teachers are able to enjoy and learn them by themselves.

요 약
본 연구는 울산민요를 현행 2007년 개정 음악과 교육과정의 초등학교 제재 곡으로 활용하여 학습할 수 있는지 알아보고 음악과 교육과정의 재구성을 통하여 울산민요의 국악교육 지역화 방안을 모색해 보는데 목적이 있다.
본 연구는 일반초등학교에 재학 중인 3학년을 대상으로 음악과 교육과정을 재구성 할 수 있는 교재와 교수-학습 지도안을 개발하여 울산민요의 국악교육 지역화 방안을 모색하였다.
본 연구에 사용한 울산민요는 3학년 음악과 교육과정에 적합한 교육내용을 듬뿍 담고 있는 울산 전래동요와 토속민요를 중심으로 제재 곡으로 선택하였으며 선택된 제재 곡으로 가르칠 수 있는 3학년 음악과 교육과정의 교육내용을 담아 교재를 개발하고 그 교재로 지도할 수 있는 교수-학습 지도안을 개발하여 교육현장에 학습 자료로 제시하였다.
본 연구의 결과에 따른 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째. 초등학교 음악교육과정에서 주어진 제재 곡을 대신하여 울산민요로 적용 가능한 2007년 음악과 교육과정 국악영역 분석을 해 본 결과 생활화 영역, 가창영역, 기악영역, 창작영역, 감상영역, 이해영역에 있어 지도해야 할 내용이 울산민요로 적용할 수 있었으며 다양한 울산민요와 전래동요 관련 자료의 수집 및 채보를 통해 초등학교 3학년 음악과 교육과정 국악영역의 지도 내용 재구성을 할 수 있는 울산 전래동요와 민요의 자료를 확보할 수 있었다.
둘째. 울산민요와 전래동요를 제재 곡으로 하는 초등학교 3학년 음악과 교육과정 교재와 교수-학습 지도안 개발로 울산민요의 국악교육 지역화에 터전을 마련할 수 있었고 울산민요의 국악교육 지역화가 용이하게 되었다.
셋째. 울산국악사랑 (울산사랑노래연구회 홈페이지-http://www.ulsangugak.org) 공개 자료실에 울산 전래동요 및 민요 제재 곡의 실음을 탑재하여 학생들과 교사들이 자유롭게 다운 받아 울산민요의 국악교육 지역화 자기 주도 학습이 가능하게 되었다.
