국문 초록 (Abstract)

<호우묘두우지(法妙童子)>에는 <사요히메(さよひめ)>에 비해 부모와의 깊은 정(情)관계에서 발로(發露)한 정성(精誠)을 다한 효행 장면들이 더 많이 있으므로, 호우묘두우지의 효행은 사요히메의 효행에 비해 독자들에게 더 감동을 주는 효과가 있다고 여겨졌다. 또한 <호우묘두우지(法妙童子)>에는 <사요히메(さよひめ)>에 비해 효행 장려와 의욕을 갖게 하는 데 있어서 보다 효과적인 요소를 더 많이 발견할 수 있었다. 그리고 효행 이야기라는 관점에서 <호우묘두우지(法妙童子)>는 논리적으로 의문이 생기지 않는 작품이었다. 그러한 점들에서 <호우묘두우지(法妙童子)>는 <사요히메(さよひめ)>에 비해 더 본격적인 효행 이야기의 명작이라고 판단할 수 있었다.
또한 <호우묘두우지(法妙童子)>의 작자는 주요 독자로서 소년을 염두에 두고 살아계신 부모의 효도의 중요성을 강조하고 있는데, 특히 집안의 번영(繁榮)을 간절히 바라는 근세사회의 가장(家長)들이 호감을 갖기 쉬운 내용으로 작품을 창작했다고 볼 수 있었다.

< Houmyoudouji > can discover more effective elements in encouraging and motivating filial piety than < Sayohime >. And < Houmyoudouji > was a piece that logically does not raise any questions as a story of filial piety.
From those points, < Houmyoudouji > is considered to be a masterpiece of more authentic filial talk than < Sayohime >.
And, the author of < Houmyoudouji > made the work with the boy as a reader.
And, The author of Houmyoudouji also mentions the importance of filial piety of living parents.
Also, the author of < Houmyoudouji > seems to have created a work that is easy to be liked by patriarch of early-modern societies, who strongly desires the prosperity of the house.
