한국교회의 도덕성 = On the Morality of Korean Church

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국교회의 도덕을 논함에 앞서 목사로서 이 문제를 다루는 것에 큰 부담을 갖는다. 죄 있는 자가 돌로 치라는 예수의 말씀이 생각나기 때문이다. 누가 누구의 도덕과 윤리를 말하겠는가? 같은 책임을 가지고 있는 성직자가 다른 성직자의 도덕문제를 거론한다는 것 자체에 모순이 있는 듯하다. 많은 사람들은 목사의 부도덕을 말하면서 "아니! 목사가 어떻게 그럴 수 있지?" 라고하는 성직의 문제를 거론하며 의로운 심판관이 될 때 오히려 내 자신은 목사의 편에 서려고 하는 것을 부정할 수 없다. 목사도 평범한 인간이라는 사실을 아무도 고려하지 않는 듯하다. 목사 역시 "오호라 나는 곤고한 자로다" 라는 바울의 고백에서 벗어날 수 있는 것은 아니다. 목사에게 도덕은 지킬만해서 지키는 것이 아니라 당연히 지켜야만 하는 정언명령이다. 도덕적이지 않은 것에 대해서는 반드시 책망을 받아야 한다고 나는 생각한다. 그러나 비도덕적이 되지 않을 수 없는 구조가 목사를 비도덕적 상황으로 몰아가는 것 대해서는 사람들이 생각하지 않는 듯하다. 교회의 부도덕은 사실 여러 차원이 서로 함께 공모한 합작품이다.
이 주제를 다루기 위해서는 성직, 교회론, 성장주의, 그리고 목회자들의 성적 문제 등의 모든 제반 사항을 함께 다루어야 한다. 따라서 이 모든 사안들을 어우를 수 있는 근저 또는 함께 얽혀져 있는 근본적 원인으로 생각이 기울어 질 수밖에 없었음을 밝힌다. 신학의 부재가 가장 큰 문제의 원인인 것은 분명하지만 본 글은 신학이 다룰 수 없는 또 다른 특별한 평가가 요구되는 부분에 주목한다. 그것은 현대교회의 구조 자체가 이미 도덕을 담보할 수 없도록 구조되어 있다는 것이다. 본 글은 그 원인을 살펴보고 그 대안을 검토하는 것에 그 목적이 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I have heavy burden as a pastor, before dissertating the morality of korean church, because this theme remind me of Jesus saying, "If anyone of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."(John 8:7) Whose morals and ethics are discussed by whom? Now I seemed to be in dilemma when I make it a subject of morality of other minister as a minister who has the same responsibility. I can not deny myself to be on a pastor's side when many people become a righteous judge, saying "How could he do it so as a pastor?", which is supposed to referring the immorality of pastorship. A pastor also can not get out of the word, "what a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?"(Rom7:24) It doesn't seem to be considered the fact that the pastor is also an ordinary man. For a pastor to keep morality is not to be a simple due thing but to be a categorical imperative. I think that he should receive a blame if he does immorality. But we seem to pass over that the structure which can not help becoming immorally has become a cause to drive pastors in situation of immorality. The immoral of the church is a joint production, in fact, that is conspired with multi dimensions.
To manage this theme we have to handle all the relevant agenda together, holy orders, ecclesiology, growth ideology, and the sexual problem of pastors and so on. Therefore I suggest I can not help leaning my thought to the foundation which put together all the things or fundamental cause which are intertwined together. Though it's clear the absence of theology is a cause of the biggest problem, this writing will notice a part that theology could not manage and a special evaluation is needed. It is to be constructed that the structure of contemporary church already can not guarantee morals. This essay will have the purpose that explores the cause and examines the alternative.
