R. Schumann의 “Frauenliebe und Leben”의 연주해석을 위한 분석연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 독일 Lied 중에서 작곡가 로베르트 슈만(R. Schumann, 1810-1856)의 연가곡 중 “Frauenliebe und Leben”의 바람직한 연주를 위해 연구한 것이다.
1장 서론은 연구의 목적 및 의의와 연구의 방법 및 범위를 서술하였다.
2장 본론은 “Frauenliebe und Leben”의 바람직한 연주를 위한 연구를 위해 낭만주의 음악적 배경, 슈만 가곡의 특징 등을 고찰함으로써 음악사적으로 나타난 그의 공헌도와 음악적 경향 등을 살펴본 뒤 그것을 기본 바탕으로 하여 슈만의 “Frauenliebe und Leben”에 사용된 시의 내용을 번역하고 그러한 시의 내용을 좀 더 효과적으로 표현하기 위해서 사용되었던 악상기호들과 화성변화 등을 살펴보며 시와 음악과의 관계를 살펴보았다.
3장 결론은 작품 분석의 결과를 요약하였고, 분석한 “Frauenliebe und Leben”에서 드러난 작곡가 슈만의 작곡 특징을 서술하였다.
슈만은 이 작품의 8곡에서 공통적으로 음악과 시의 완전한 조화를 이루어 내었고, 반주부에서도 성악과 piano의 훌륭한 이중주를 탄생시켰다. 반주는 단순히 성부를 받쳐주는 것에서 벗어나 성부의 감정을 대신 이야기 해주기도 하고, 전곡의 후주가 다음 곡의 전주 역할을 하기도 하였다.
본 연구를 통하여 “Frauenliebe und Leben”를 심도 깊게 표현하며 연주할 수 있기를 바라며, 이 작품의 음악적 깊이가 청중에게 친근하게 전달될 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to find out the appropriate and desirable way to perform “Frauenliebe und Leben” by R. Schumann among the artistic lyrics in Germany.
In the first chapter, the purpose and the meaning of the study and the methods and range of the research are described as an introduction.
In the second chapter, the main part of this study, for the sake of a desirable performance of “Frauenliebe und Leben”, it examines the contribution and musical tendency of Schumann’s music in the music history by looking at the musical background of romanticism and the characteristics of Schumann’s song. Then, on the basis of this examination, the poet that is used in “Frauenliebe und Leben” is translated; the signs and harmonic transformations that are used to express the meaning of the poet in a more effective way are described, and the relationship between the poet and the music is investigated.
In the third chapter, the conclusion was made by summarizing the result of analysis and by describing the composing characteristics of Schumann, which is shown in “Frauenliebe und Leben”.
Schumann built the perfect harmony of music and poet throughout the eight songs of “Frauenliebe und Leben”, and also he created an excellent duet of vocal music and piano accompaniment.
The piano accompaniment avoids to be a simple background for the vocal, but rather, it even expresses the emotion of the vocal and its role extends as the outro of the previous song plays the role of intro of the next song.
Through this study, it is expected that “Frauenliebe und Leben” can be performed better and expressed in depth and that the depth of this piece of music can be transferred to the audience effectively.
