韓國弓道 의 史·氣 硏究 = A Study on the History and Spirit of Koresn Archery

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The matinal archery is a proud tradition-military arts which the spirit of Korean people percolated. At the period of the Three Kingdoms, they trained their body and mind with it. After the era of Kirye, it produced military elites who defended the nation and was adopted as the subject of military service
examination. It has been developed as folk athletics, far from gradual military weapons due to the invention of gunnery since Donghak Revolution.
Besides, as the archery they got the method which entered the moral principle, cultivated their virtues, respected each other, and practiced the morality, "e younger should give precedence to the elder "ccording to "o Ki"shooting a bow is a kind of method cultivated their moral sense. And so they seek honesty with shooting a bow.
Thus it is Confucian humanism of Confucius which delightfulness and anger are harmonized. In short, the national archery is a kind of sports which goodness and anger are mixed. Therefore the archery should be taken with a regular curriculum of high school as to make the students realize dull moral-sense.
