(Zufryden 1996; Elberse and Anand 2007; Joshi and Hanssesn 2009; Chintagunta et al. 2010),
(Elberse and Eliashberg 2003; Joshi and Hanssens 2009; Luan and Sudhir 2010; Foutz and Jank 2010; Duan et al. 2008; Dellarocas et al. 2007).

This study proposes a methodology to optimize advertising performance through proper allocation of resources between the pre-advertisement and post-advertisement processes, which require the highest percentage of pre-marketing resources. In order to analyze the mechanisms by which pre-marketing activities affect the performance of an advertisement after its release, this study will develop an econometric model to simultaneously examine the effects of pre- and post-advertisement tactics. From these results, we propose an optimization methodology for maximizing the performance of an advertisement by analyzing the differences between the role of pre and post-advertising processes in the overall performance of the advertisement.
There are several studies that have analyzed the effects of pre-advertising on advertisement performance, but there has not been any research examining the mechanisms responsible for pre-advertising efficacy. Additionally, there have been no studies proposing an optimized methodology for the strategic allocation of resources between the pre- and post-advertisement. Thus, the developed model in this study will have a value of research as the first attempt to consider the integrated effects of pre- and post-advertisement from a strategic perspective.
