Recently, customer's requirements for dimensional performance become more complex. Automakers are trying to introduce virtual engineering to meet time-to-market thorough validate their design as early as possible to meet market requirements. In the same way, automakers are performing simulation for not only vehicle performance but also vehicle appearance. This study addresses tolerance optimization method for DTS(Dimensional Technical Specifications) which is including typical sections with gap and flush targets using 3 DCS commercial software equipped with GM's in-house program called OPTOLS.
