손가락 에지 영상에 의한 개인인증

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It has been reported that an identification system is feasible with the development of the new matching algorithm(HS matching algorithm) which is good for the matching of edge or line images. Accordingly in this paper, we are going to suggest an individual identification technology by the edge detection process of finger images. It is observed that each finger edge image is inherent to each person due to the finger shape and size and the knuckle lines. Since the HS matching algorithm has the advantages in the distinction process of line or edge images, it is feasible to match and to discriminate the finger edge images using the algorithm. The experiment shows that the distinction rate with these images has been appeared as high as 99.426%. Considering this rate is only with one finger, even higher rates of personal authentication is possible to predict if it is applied to multiple finger images.
