The purpose of this study is to enable more interesting teaching-learling activity and to raise the efficiency of learning in the preservation of clear concepts through developing, making,and applying teaching materials depending on child's cognitive developmental process.
According to Bruner's EIS theory about cognitive developmental process, cognitive development is divided into the first stage-enactive representation stage, the second stage-iconic representation stage, and the third stage-symbolic representation stage.
Presenting the sensiteve, visual, and concrete teaching materials in the first and second stage can raise problem solcing ability and cultivate applivable and creative ability on the basis of preservation of clear concepts.
Students' experiencing the development and production of teaching materials in teachers college life will enable better teaching-learnign activity in the future classroom and have them build better educational foudation by equipping each school with teaching materials appropriate for arithmetic education.
