The purpose of this study is to prepare a patient-centered medical communication method focused on ‘Kindness’. The discussion and conclusion of the results of the experiment are as follows. First, The most important factor in the impression evaluation of medical consultation is ‘Kindness’. In the positive evaluation of ‘Kindness’, ‘content’, a verbal element, is important. In contrast, In the negative evaluation, non-verbal elements such as articulation, prosody, and attitude are more important. Second, When judging ‘Kindness’, Males considered content more important, and females considered attitude more important. Third, The main methods for patient-centered medical communication are as follows. ‘sufficient explanation and answers’, ‘expression of empathy’, ‘use of responsive language’, ‘use of response word’, and ‘confirmation and adjustment’ are needed. ‘proper speed of speech’, ‘careful and stable tone’, ‘effort to empathize’, ‘listen attentively’, and ‘active response’ are important. This study is meaningful in that it conducted demand analysis and speech analysis for actual medical-counseling conversations.
