대학 영상 교육을 위한 대안적 포스트프로덕션 워크플로우 = An Affoardable Model of the Post-Production for the Student Film and Broadcast Contents Making

The importance of post-production in the film and broadcast industry has increased as the production of videos has been transferred from celluloid film to digital technology. Ultimately, from the time of celluloid film, digital filmmaking has brought a wider range of artistic choices at the post-production stage, while at the same time filmmakers at present are required to understand and comply with standardized workflows. This study explores an affordable post-production workflow model for use with the post-production workflows required in modern film and TV industry standards within the curriculum of film education at the university level. This study discusses the importance of post-production and how the video industry is standardizing these processes, presenting a feasible model of post-production within the environment of film and TV education by focusing on the data management, proxy workflows, the concept of the color space and its setting, and on the final delivery, including archiving. The workflow suggested here relies on the use of Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

필름에서 디지털로 영상 제작의 패러다임이 넘어옴에 따라, 포스트프로덕션 단계에서의 예술적 선택의 폭이 넓어짐은 물론, 규격화된 워크플로우를 이해하고 준수하는 직업 의식의 중요성 또한 증가하였다. 본 연구는 포스트프로덕션의 기술적 이해가 영상 제작자의 새로운 규범으로 자리 잡고 있는 시류에 맞춰, 현대의 영상 산업 규격이 요구하는 포스트프로덕션 워크플로우를 대학 영상 교육의 커리큘럼 내에서 구현하고 실습하기 위한 대안적 포스트프로덕션 워크플로우 모델을 모색한다. 영상 제작의 포스트프로덕션 단계 중 데이터 매니지먼트, 프록시 워크플로우, 색공간의 이해와 설정, 콘텐츠 완성본 생성과 아카이빙의 중요성과 영상 산업이 이를 어떻게 규격화하고 있는지를 고찰하고 이를 대학 영상 교육 환경 내에서 실현하기 위한 대안을 제시하는 과정에서 무료 라이센스 배포 및 유료 라이센스의 영구적인 업데이트 지원을 제공하는 블랙매직(Blackmagic Design) 사(社)의 영상 제작 소프트웨어 다빈치 리졸브(DaVinci Resolve)을 활용한 구체적인 방안을 제시하였다.
