Influence on Middle School Students'science academic achievement by level classified group working.

Abstract
The purpose of this experiment is to find how level classifying group work can influence on middle school students. To do this survey, we selected 132 students from 4 of 6 classes in a middle school. Two classes were taught, using new group working method and other two classes were taught using traditional method. From this experiment, we studied students' satisfaction, achievement, and marks.
Following information are the results from this experiment.
First, Group work had more positive influence on academic achievement compare to tradition way of teaching.
Second, comparing academic achievement, the group working method greatly improved those people who were at average level or people who were struggling. Especially, it had dramatic effect on those people who had academic challenge.
Third, looking at a degree of difficulty in each group, most of groups had similar degree of difficulty, however, applied level had some visible difference and it helped them improve academically.
Fourth, survey on people's opinion showed that many students preferred the group working method and especially students in applied level showed great interest in this method.
For these reasons, compare to the tradition teaching method, the group working method was more effective and preferred. The most preferred teaching method was the group teaching method within the class and therefore I believe it is a very effective way of teaching science course in a middle school.
